"It was our 25th wedding anniversary after staying there on out wedding night 25 years ago. The staff at the front counter said we had been upgraded to a spa suite which was very appreciated. After having our dinner and returning to our room we had a ice bucket with a bottle of champagne and two glasses, chocolates and a handwritten card from the staff and management team. This was a gift and was a huge surprise. It made our stay and our night perfect. "

The only drawback was the sound of doors slamming shut all night from people leaving their rooms to use the bathroom. I had an ensuite bathroom but others don't. A young woman commenced the check-in we were 85% into the check-in when suddenly she moved sideways to another computer to check-in another guest a male took over, we did not know what the reason for her abruptly moving sideways was, & he took over. "While we love staying at Rydges Cronulla, we always try to stay when the rate is on the lower side because we're finding the condition and facilities are getting a little run down. It's a great location by the beach and behind the mall, right in walking distance to all the great venues in Cronulla. The desk service is great and the housekeeping is thorough. Possibly too thorough - ie. I was sleeping when they came in and began to service the room without checking if anyone was in the room."
