"Nice big room, quiet area but only a few minutes walk from the centre of Buxton. Street parking but seemed to be no problem finding a space. Eating places including a good cafe with breakfast, and shops not far away. Had a problem getting in. The * after the code number was not very obvious on the email. Tried to ring the mobile that was given but no reply. Eventually we realised about the entry code. We only saw the lady cleaner,no-one else. She was very pleasant and makes a good job of the cleaning. Bed was comfortable , if very high!! Good shower."

"Visiting Gilbert and Sullivan Festival at Opera House across the Square. Ideal location for this visit. On payment of parking permit fee able to park in front of hotel for 24 hours. This permit made the afternoon walk around Buxton and the morning shopping trip much easier. The location of the hotel is perfect for any visit to Buxton. The hotel appears tired in decor but the room was pleasing and well appointed. The bathroom up a small flight of stairs was extremely well planned and a delight to use. The bathroom contained both a shower and a free standing bath. We had a very comfortable nights sleep and felt much refreshed the next morning. The breakfast is self service buffet style and the trick is to arrive as the bacon etc is being replenished. All in all an satisfying overnight stay."

"Quiet location on a small farm (29 acres) just outside Buxton. Very well equipped kitchen and good internet/wifi. Friendly helpful owners who live on-site. Great location and a base for the Peak District walks plus there is a nice walk from Cowdale farm to King Sterndale. If you’re into climbing there is a rock face used by climbers less than 500 metres from the accommodation."

"Lovely cottage and with excellent, helpful owners who accommodated the second couple who came with my wife and I. Nice big bedrooms, cool in the hot weather and right near Chrome Hill. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone."

"The Crescent Suite was very luxurious and had everything we needed. It was ideal for our group (14 of us!) to get together for meals and chatting - thanks to Claudia and Laura for arranging the extra tables/chairs. We will almost certainly be back!"

"The bungalow is in a great location for walks from the village of Monyash. We enjoyed our week of walking in the area. The bungalow was well equipped with plenty of parking. Very comfortable beds. We feel it would benefit from having a washing machine and felt this was the only thing missing as it had everything else. We enjoyed our stay very much."
