Best Shack in Goolwa
Had a wonderful stay at this Shack. It suited our needs really well. It is a cosy place and has ample space for 4 people who are 6foot 1- 6foot7. I would highly recommend this place to those who want an authentic shack’ experience. It is very comfortable for any situation, if you’re having a busy day then want to have a relaxed meal outside on the Jarrah dining table then this is the place for you. The only thing I would recommend for the owners is to have a BBQ outside on the deck. We are already looking at going again for another summer Goolwa extravaganza. ✌️

Quick getaway
Was a fabulous retro beach shack, much better than a cabin or hotel room. Great location and we could park our JetSki. Loved the retro vibe and next time we will bring the kids to use the extra bedroom, thank you for having us!

Wonderful
It was the second time my daughter and i have stayed. Once again it was perfect for us. Walking distance to beach everyday and Kuti Shack for a gorgeous lunch. Perfect home away from home with everything we needed.. We will be back again!

Great start to our Fleurieu Peninsular stay. Fairview Shack is rightly named, enjoying an elevated position of the area. Clean and bright. Well equipped . Handy location to explore the south coast. Recommend taking the cockle train from Goolwa to Victor Harbour

Another wonderful stay!
This was our 3rd time at Farview and it was wonderful once again! The property is full of charm and has all the necessities. The location is unbeatable - a short walk to the beach and equally a short walk/ride to the Encounter Bikeway. The street is quiet and peaceful. The shack is located opposite a large reserve so there is plenty of bird-life. The property has a functional kitchen with stove and oven, fridge with a freezer, lovely hard-wood floor in the main area. There is a TV with a DVD player and reverse cycle air-conditioning unit. The bed is large and very comfortable. The shack gets a lot of natural light in the morning so I personally use an eye mask to help me stay asleep. I only wish we had booked for a longer stay! We are planning to be back again :)

Great Shack
My wife and I had a great time exploring the area for 9 days using this as “base camp” great no fuss accomodation with all amenities required for our stay, shack exactly as described, we would book this accommodation again, thank you to the hosts, good shack experience

Little getaway Shack
The shack is very cute its small but adorable. The loungeroom bedroom was great during the hot temps during our stay. Bring own coffee for coffee machine. Gorgeous little garden. We enjoyed that access to shops, river and beach were so close. Also I've left a dozen eggs from my chickens back home on Bum-nugget Farm for the hosts to enjoy.

Simple and tidy 70's decor shack which had all we needed- especially suited for a couple. Peaceful location with a great view across Goolwa from the verandah. As a side issue, hosts may like to consider installing a fly screen on the lounge sliding door, which we tended to use more as our entry/exit point instead of the main door near the queen bed (we had a few unwanted flies and mozzies enter when we weren't looking). Thanks for a great stay.

Description is just right... a shack
A 1 bedroom shack and that's what it was, double bed was in the living room, the bedroom had a single and bunk set. It had few amenities, no washing machine, nowhere to put toiletries, large laundry basin in bathroom doubled as face/teeth/hand cleaning and laundry tub; no wardrobes to hang clothes(hung clothes on curtain rails); no Internet or good tv reception (4 channels only ABC abd Ch 10). Very limited amenities. Convenient location for beach access. Very responsive owners but would not stay again. Would pay more for better amenities.

Good little shack
Good little shack to stay at Good heat in side,and appliances The only a few things i would like to see if I had the property is A lock on the bathroom door Webber q on the deck level And a small milk in the fridge prior to stay. Another small issue was the neighbour next door must have been burning green wood in his combustion all night and the smoke was engulfing the shack Over all I would definitely stay here again ,

This is a place we will come back to. It had everything we needed, it was clean and the couches and beds were comfy. The views were amazing and sitting on the deck enjoying the view was relaxing. The beach being only a short walk away made for a great location too.

A fantastic place!
My friend and I had a brilliant weekend at this cosy quirky shack. So comfy indoors (loved the beanbag n coffee machine) and the deck was a great place to chat the night away. Will definitely be back.

Only 2 negative reviews to add is Bathroom needs an exhaust fan and the kids bedroom smelt musty. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay, the deck is a great addition to sit and enjoy the views, has everything else you need.

We loved this delightful holiday home! * Lovely outdoor space, with plenty of line space to dry towels (including undercover space for when it rained a little) * Beautiful wooden floors in the living area * Large bed with a very comfortable mattress * Incredibly comfortable couches * Lovely deck with plenty of cover protecting from sun and rain, featuring stunning views of Goolwa and surrounding landscape; ability to bird watch as plenty of birds present in the reserve across the street * Manageable walk to the beach, and the beach itself was fantastic - sandy, no rocks * Main living area full of windows which allowed us to admire the beautiful views * Doors and windows seal very well - no draughts * Very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood * Only a short drive to local Foodland We had a wonderful, totally relaxing time and would highly recommend this home :)
