"We truly enjoyed our stay at The Yankee Clipper Inn. We stayed in the Quarterdeck Inn that’s next to the larger Inn. Our room overlooked the ocean. It felt like we were on a cruise ship - it looked that close. The room was spacious with a really nice sitting area where you can view the ocean. The room was clean, comfortable with a small but updated bathroom. The Inn was very quiet and well maintained. Parking is close but keep in mind you have a manage down a granite stairway to get to the Inn. Each morning we walked over to the Yankee Clipper for breakfast. The staff there were amazing. Super friendly, and can handle anything you need. Mike at the front desk (I assume is the owner or manager) Is great. The made to order breakfasts were delicious. The grounds are breathtaking - walkways, patios, cliffs, sunrise views - all beautiful. We loved every minute there. The area around the Inns are so much fun - its about a 15 min walk (or a 3 min drive) to the main town but well worth it and easier than I expected. The town has tons of shops, a couple beaches and many restaurants to check out. The city of Gloucester is just a few mins drive and worth the visit. Be sure to drive up Halibut Point State Park while you’re in Rockport. I am usually ready to head home after a vacation week - but I wished we could have stayed longer!"

Victor was a great and responsive host, our group of 8 professional touring acoustic musicians has a great weekend stay. The 9 full bedrooms and 3.5 baths worked out perfect for our group. "This house is a great homebase for exploring the adorable seaside town of Rockport. It's got it's quirks, sure, but overall we enjoyed our time and would stay here again.The house was immaculate, well-stocked with all the basic kitchen needs, and was in a great location.The quirks? Since most of these things are personal preference, I wouldn't say they are cons, but just maybe would help someone else in their decision to book. They wouldn't dissuade us from staying here again.1. The mattress on the queen size bed was super soft. Way too soft for my husband and I to sleep well on it, but my kids found it comfortable. Also, no bedside table on one side of the bed, which was a little frustrating since I like to read in bed and keep a water bottle close by. Not a deal breaker, just something to consider.2. The stairs are steep, slick, and the railing is slick too since it's metal pipes. We all took it slowly, but definitely something to consider if you have small kids or those with mobility issues.The listing mentions the narrow road and parking situation, and we appreciated the videos shared ahead of time to help navigate. Our minivan made it, but I can't imagine anything bigger would be able to fit. The hosts were great about communication and making sure everything was just right for our stay.
