"The property is nestled in the Medina mountains in an 11 room resort and spa. The owners met with us each night sharing stories, laughs, wine and food. In the morning we hiked up the mountain trail to a cabin with a back deck that overlooked the hillside. If you want peace, quiet, no children and good old fashion conversation you will not find any better than Escondida Resort. The entire staff is humble, courteous and good people to share a cup of coffee or a laugh. I highly recommend this...

"Not a fan, wouldn't stay again. Stayed in the Alden Haus, suite 2. Room was clean, bed was pretty comfortable, bring a fan or something for sound because it is eerily quite at night plus you can hear the people in the other room (we could even hear them use the bathroom). They need better curtains, if your light is on when it's dark congrats everyone can see clear into your room! Hot tub area needs to be cleaned, I get it's an closed in area outside but it wouldn't hurt to dust or sweep it out...

Dislied: The only down side is I picked this property because of their add-on dine in experience. I was called 1-2 days prior that it was not offered anymore so I was refunded the extra fee. "Everything is exactly as described on the website. The house is very clean, decorations are very cute, sheets and towels smell fresh, the backyard is probably my favorite. I spent the weekend with my two girls celebrating their 40th birthday. The house is well-maintained and it is in close walking distance to several places you would want to visit. Ian checked on us before the visit and during the visit and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely come back here again."

"We did enjoy the house, location, and amenities. Bring your Kcups and enjoy coffee on the front porch. If you get caught in an evening rain, the gas fp offers a quick warm-up. All in all, very nice. Parking is on the street, but it’s a VERY wide street and quiet area. Only 1-1/2 blocks from the main downtown area. I knocked one star, because I think the toilet area of primary bath was missed in cleaning. A lot of long hair and dust in that area - not the case with the rest of the house....

"My husband and i went for a quick overnight stay in Fredricksburg. I picked this hotel randomly and was really pleasntly surprised. We will definitely be back. The pool and hot tub were awesome. Rooms were very clean and nice. Breakfast was really good too. "
