"Lovely hotel, staff are great, particularly in the restaurant. They catered for me with vegan options that were thoughtful and very well executed. Plenty of parking in covered bays. Lots of little restaurants nearby. Area is quiet and safe, close to lakes and safe walks. Beds very comfortable, spotlessly clean. Dropped a star for noisy aircon, mirror being perished around the edges and plastic wrapping on soap and in bin liners. There’s no body or hand lotion, no conditioner, only shampoo and shower gel. Also, I read in some reviews that the rooms have kettles, there was no kettle in our room, only two small bottles of water. "

"I stayed at the Universal for 11 nights. My room was clean, the sheets and blankets as good as new, and attended to every day. It was quiet with no traffic noise and the occasional sounds from other rooms stopped at a reasonable hour. The staff were all friendly, helpful and simpatico. The hotel is in an excellent location about 8 minutes walk to the Cathedral the heart of historic Murcia. The Universal is completely unpretentious, great value for money and I will definitely return."
