"Very nice hotel, central to the Messe and Ruttenschied which in Essen is very important. It was clean, comfortable with a friendly and helpful staff. Parking can be challenging in the area, but the hotel has its own parking as well. This is the first time I have stayed but will be looking to it as my first choice from now on as I need to visit the city."

"This is a lovely, modern hotel within walking distance of Sterkrade and it's shopping centre & facilities. It has a very clean/fresh feel, the staff are lovely, the beds comfortable and the garden/patio area is fab. Prices are decent, too :-) I came to Oberhausen to visit family so I did not have the need to use the restaurant but again, it looks great. "Nice spacious room, nothing to complain about."

"Property and rooms were older looking. The lounge was unstaffed and did not appear functional. Rooms were large. Breakfast looked good, with one guy making eggs but no one was there. "

"Beautiful hotel, spacious & comfortable room, perfect location and spotless clean. The man who did our check in was very nice & helpful, but in general, the staff & atmosphere were pretty cold & distant. The restaurant & bar were closed 2 nights out of our 3 and the lobby lights were dimmed ..no visible staff at the reception, so the hotel felt empty & deserted. "

"the receptionist was sullen when checking in. We booked 2 rooms, one of them had a coffee machine and one of them didn't. When we told the reception about this situation, some rooms have it and some don't. It means they don't have standards, but while they're advertising, the coffee machine appears to be in the room, so they're deceiving."

"A very nice breakfast buffet. The shower handle is too easily touched and therefore moved while showering, causing you to find yourself in cold or hot water suddenly. It would be nice of there were some rooms with a double bed (and blankets) instead of just double single beds. I found the blankets a bit small."
