Historic Settler's Log Cabin in Private Forest
Our beautiful 1850 settler's log cabin is simply furnished and does not have plumbing. Electricity is powered by a honda generator. Fresh drinking water is supplied. Bathroom is a clean, private outhouse and guests have access to our centralized guest shower facility on premises from 6-9 am/pm daily.
As your Bed and Breakfast host we will personally greet you and check you in and always remain on property while offering you privacy. We are designed for a quiet, peaceful rustic getaway. The space Our Historic Settler's Log Cabin was built in 1850 and is authentic, simple and comfortable. Located at Elliott Tree Farm in the hills of Hillsburgh within the town of Erin, it is a great place for a mini getaway for guests who enjoy simplicity, nature and the outdoors.
We are close to the city while offering a real country experience. The cabin is within a secluded 5 acre maple forest on the farm that is dedicated for your privacy only.
The space is heated, has a honda generator and does not have plumbing. Fresh drinking water is supplied. The bathroom is a private, clean outhouse and guests have access to our guest shower facility from 6-9 am/pm. Cooking is on an outdoor propane barbeque with side burner. Propane is included. We also supply basic cooking and eating/drinking essentials.
Outside there and outdoor firepit with chairs. Firewood packages which include kindling wood and paper start at $25.
Enjoy the trails through the farm for walking and hiking.
5 minutes from Hillsburgh Foodland and LCBO. The village of Erin and town of Orangeville is a close by 10 minutes. Elora and Hockley Valley 25 minutes drive.
A great, simple 2 night getaway close to the city on a tree farm Guest access Guests have access to their private 5 acre forest as well as enjoying the trails throughout the farm. Parking is on location. Other things to note The cabin is heated and does not require a fire for warmth. The woodstove and campfire can be enjoyed for ambiance, fun and additional entertainment.
Campfire wood packages are available on site starting at $25 and include cedar kindling and paper for starting your outdoor campfire.
Cell reception would be considered decent.
Bedding is not incldued. Please remember to bring your own queen size sheets and pillow cases/bedding.
