"The location of this place is great really close to moonlight Beach and the stairs to walk down to the front beach of the house. Their lifeguards, which is really great. The house has no beach stuff though. It’s pretty minimal on amenities. Also, there’s only three king beds not four. The air-conditioning is not great. They have fans for every room rooms, but it definitely gets pretty warm. We went during a bit of a heat wave so if you get a breeze, normally it should be fine. The freezer doesn’t make ice so they do have a little icemaker, but it’s not much for a big group. The attack gets pretty sunny and hot and the umbrellas don’t provide that much shade to sit out there during the day. But sunset is beautiful."

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at this large home perched high on the cliffs overlooking Beacon Beach in Encinitas on Neptune Ave. We were impressed by how clean the property was. We rented the top half of the house, which featured 3 spacious bedrooms/2 baths, laundry on the main floor & an upstairs master & full bath, along with a second attic style bedroom that could sleep 3 or 4 children & a rooftop jacuzzi.The layout was perfect for our group,w/ first floor large open kitchen & a living room that opened up to an expansive balcony. The outdoor seating area was delightful, providing us w/breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean & the coastline & front-row seat to the surfers at Beacon Beach. The upstairs primary bedroom was comfortable w/a private balcony and large shared bathroom. The second bedroom, which could accommodate two to three beds, was small. This room had a sink but does not have an en-suite bathroom, which means guests would need to share the master bathroom. This setup worked for our group but could be a consideration for larger families. One downside for us was the adjacent parking lot for Beacon Beach. At sunset, this area becomes quite crowded w/people gathering to enjoy the views, & we experienced loud music from a mobile DJ. Thankfully, everyone honored the 9 o’clock quiet time, but having a baby with us made it a bit challenging due to the noise. Many stairs. We appreciated A/C &Having the garage but it is VERY busy location on Neptune Ave."

"Fabulous location, walk to beach and restaurants and enjoy the amazing view. House is well furnished and has plenty of room. Hosts are very communicative. So pack your board, ignore the minor imperfections of an older home, and have a great stay here."

"We had a wonderful visit! The rental was pretty basic on supplies, sheets, bedding. (only the queen sized beds have comforters, the others are all polyester feeling "quilts") But, the price reflects that. The kitchen is missing cookie sheets and the grill has a broken ignition, a broken knob and is really small for the unit capacity. Awesome news is that they provide on site back up propane tanks! The bedroom with the twin trundle was a surprise. It does not have enough floor space to have both beds out and close the door because it is so tight. There is also NOT DIRECT BEACH ACCESS. This is noted in a review in the listing and addressed. However, if you do not read all of the reviews, it is easy to miss. The walk to Beacon's Beach is convenient. It is a small, intimate surfing community.The dining and seating spaces were adequate and the hot tub was a real hit for our party. We enjoyed walks to coffee, a local market, and several good restaurants.The customer service was on point with efficient responses and easy clean/check out procedures."
