Book a Del Mar Cottage

"Overall a really cute place however they did not have our hotels.com reservation they said. We ended up getting a non-artist room which is the whole reason why we booked here so my daughter who is an artist could enjoy the intricacies at an artist room. Also because of close proximity to neighbors there was yard work beginning around 7:30 a.m. And it kind of continued on until 9:30 30/10:00 a.m. We're late sleeper so that wasn't ideal for us."

"The location was closed to the beack, but to get there, you will need a walk about 1.5-2 miles because there is a bluff between the hotel and the beach, so you can't get there directly. Facility is very clean. While we were there the pool area was closed for renovation."

"This is a nice hotel. Beware the charges that are not clearly displayed at the time of booking. I paid $75 USD daily for parking and $65 USD daily for resort fees. This was an additional $135 USD daily that I was not aware of, which is significant for a 3 night stay. The location is good and the rooms were nice. The hotel just didn’t feel as hospitable as other luxury hotels I’ve stayed at. My expectations were much higher. "

"The location and privacy of this bohemian style inn make this a great stay in Del Ray. Steps from the best restaurants and yet totally quiet. Minutes to walk to the beach and parks. The staff was attentive but not on site (which added to the intimacy, like you had the place to yourself). Loved the self serve Kureg coffee bar, with organic coffee, plus wine glasses (I hate plastic cups). Parking and amazing/delicious full service breakfast were free, adding to the value. Style wise, it is eclectic- a mash up of fountains, plants, imported antiques, mosaic tile and quirky architectural details. That might not suit everyone’s minimalist aesthetic but we found it a relief from bland, generic hotels. "

"What a great location! Away from the hustle and bustle but so convenient to visit all the fun places in Del Mar, Torrey Pines and La Jolla. The beach and a great hiking trail are just a short walk away. The pool and hot tub are close to the unit and well maintained. A couple of great restaurants are withing walking distance too. The back deck also has great sunset views. Would definitely stay again!"
