"We had the ocean view room on the second floor. It was newly renovated, with a beautiful private bathroom and beautiful wood work throughout. We were a bit spoiled when we were there, since there were no other guests on our floor during our stay. The kitchen and living room were spacious and well equipped, and Josh was always there to help us if we needed it. We would definitely stay here in the future"

"This was amazing! Great staff, great location AND there's even a swimming hole (5 min walk, if that) with a waterfall! I've never stayed in a shared house before, but this one has spoiled me! It's close enough to be able to drive to all the good tourist spots. Oh, and hopefully you're there for the "big" farmers market on Saturdays. If I get back to the Big Island I'll be coming back here! Thank you for the great time!"

"This is a great value. Very conveniently located. Lots of good eats in walking distance. The rooms are clean, property is clean. There is NO AC- people need to understand that. But I didn’t mind at all. Staff super friendly and supportive. But the property is a little run down. But location is the deal!"

"Stayed here for a week whilst visiting the eastern side of the big island and loved our time here! It has a 70s/bohemian vibe which mirrors downtown Hilo and is much larger than the photos. With 2 x double beds, a well equipped kitchen and decent bathroom and plenty of space to hang clothes it was ideal for us + you can use the washing machine/dryer in the entrance hallway in afternoon hrs. It’s above/joint on to Rainbow Jo’s shop and staff in the daytime were v.helpful. It’s also situated right by The Palace Theatre, Hilo farmers market and next to a bunch of restaurants, coffee shops and bars in downtown Hilo. There is a bit of noise (vans/general town noise) from the surrounding streets but we’re from a big city so it didn’t bother us! We don’t drive so it was useful to be so close to the bus station where you can hop on free buses all around the island. (It’s worth noting downtown Hilo has a bunch of unhoused ppl knocking around which is sad to see, but they weren’t bothering anyone or us) All in all this flat has been a perfect base for us to explore and if you’re creatives like us and looking for and unusual, retro space that’s great value for money, I would definitely recommend! Thanks for having us!"

"The property was exactly how it was described on the pictures. I loved the privacy from the back of the cottage. The house was clean and had all the necessary items for cooking. It was quiet and exactly what we were looking for. Very close to downtown and restaurants. The one downfall was the 20 stairs leading up to the cottage. I ended up injuring my knee at the beach on the last day of our trip and struggled getting up the stairs. But I had the honor to meet the owner of the property. She was so very nice. She helped me with some of my things when we left. It was a pleasure meeting her. I definitely recommend staying here."
