"Near town, thus walkable, for its many options. Hiking and parks nearby. Each cottage is appointed well in terms of simple usage, not overdone. 2nd visit here, where we met some out of town friends, & everything worked out fine. Great coffee for their provided coffeemaker. "

"My husband and I enjoyed our stay at The Pines Inn and Cottages in Grass Valley. Tony is a gracious host who greeted us on arrival along with a sweet calico kitty and brought us a delicious breakfast of yogurt, fresh berries and grapes and bagels and cream cheese. He topped it all off with yummy caramel lattés he made himself in the little outdoor patio. We stayed in cottage #10, that was clean and nicely furnished, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The amenities ideal. We wanted to get away from the fast-paced and often “cold” corporate hotels so chose to stay in Grass Valley and dined in Nevada City nearby. We found both towns very charming, quaint, not touristy, the locals very friendly, genuine and kind. It was super relaxing. We would definitely stay here again. "
