"Everything was perfect, from the smooth checkin, the delicious freshly cooked English breakfast, the fruits looked delicious also. There was a great info pack in the room that gave me some ideas on what to do upon my return which I definitely will do soon! Safety was a big concern to me as a female travelor, I felt very safe both in the hotel and the surrounding area. I also managed to have some lovely conversations with both a guest, the team and the locals! Next time I will take a few pics, place was beautiful, sumptuous carpets and the most beautiful staircase. My room was perfect for both a lil bit of work and a bit of tv watching. Many thanks to The Chudleigh Team"

"I’ve stayed in several places in Colchester to access the university. This is by far the best. Easy free parking. Lovely and clean. Modest but plentiful breakfast. Comfortable clean beds. Large rooms and everything included. Iron and board. Hairdryer. Toiletries and towels. Good deals on several sites. Always affordable with free breakfast. "

"The property was very clean, comfy beds, short walk to the Aviator but the bathroom could do with updating as it was very smelly and tired looking.. I would definitely stay again though and recommend it to family and friends."

"Fantastic stay, well worth the money, great hosts and delicious breakfast.! We turned up early before the official Checking in time so we were going to find out about parking and come back later however the room was nearly ready so while Pauline welcomed us,  Dave finished getting the room ready, by the time we had chosen our breakfast options we had the keys to the room. Parking is available on their driveway or in the bays on the street for a limit time and there is also a carpark near by, we had no trouble parking, we were able to park on the drive for our whole stay. Pauline and Dave were very warm, welcoming and friendly, it felt more like a home away from home. We were in room 5, a large bedroom with double bed and 2 twin beds, ample space for what we needed. TV, coffee facilities, good WiFi connection, the room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, shower was lovely and the breakfast was amazing, fresh products, cooked perfectly, and the other guests were very friendly. There was a lovely atmosphere in the breakfast room, Pauline looked after us well and Dave cooked a brilliant breakfast. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend staying there. Next time we go to Clacton we will definitely see if they have a room avaliable. Thank you Pauline & Dave for all your hard work, looking after us and making us feel very welcomed. We loved meeting you and had a wonderful time. "
