"Some staff is very friendly, other were not. Beach is nice but be careful of the stones inside. If u get a room and don't like noise the whole day make sure they put u in a room not facing pool or lobby.big property so you will be doing alot of walking."

"It was a simple cozy comfortable stay. Its much better than what I expected as the reviews were making me a bit detterent but it was suitable for my stay. The rooms aren't of modern furnishings but based on the fact that its a historical community that is expected. The free breakfast was a full wholesome meal and it tasted very good. I enjoyed my short visit to Port Royal I will definitely return. Also Gloria's is a very nice affordable and taste restaurant, walking distance up the road from the hotel that you must try"

" This was our first time to stay at R Hotel, and we'll definitely be back! Where do I start?... It was clean with excellent prompt service for our room (ie. laundry soap, dish soap/new sponge to wash dishes). We used the stackable washer/dryer in our room for the week-long stay! (Lovely to come home and unpack clean clothes!) Our room rate included a full continental breakfast with made to order omelet, juice, porridge, pastries/toast, yogurt, fruit, coffee/tea. There were 3 "hot" units on the buffet with scrambled eggs, meat option, and a rotation of pancakes, hash browns, etc. Open 7-10am daily. There is a menu for lunch/dinner 12-8pm. Kitchen closes 7;30pm. This location is not far from grocery store, Devon House, and Chillin restaurant. Housekeeping is excellent and gives 2 bottles of water daily, as well as coffee/tea. Dishes/glasses/cutlery are in the cupboards. You can request pans. Parking is covered on 2 levels, which is very nice. Smaller vehicles are easier to park due to space. Perhaps the only "negatives" were the very small lap pool on the rooftop level and the short hours due to the restaurant clientele (8am-3pm M-F and 8am-11am Sat/Sun). Well, another "negative" was the nice gym (in basement) with AC not working (but the part has been ordered). Overall, a very wonderful stay, very quiet and clean! "
