An absolutely amazing stay, the staff really made the trip with their excellent service. The activities staff (Omanda and Tiana) the Club Sandals team, the loyalty team (Big Jo), and the many more that are part of the team truly made our trip memorable. Lots of great food options and activities, along with an amazing beach and pools. Can’t wait till our next trip back!

Staff went above and beyond to accomodate my egg intolerance and procuring A1 sauce for my breakfast. Sun bed situation was atrocious, butlers claimed the vast majority of beds before 5:30 in the morning. Leaving limited choice for others especially if you wanted a sunshade.

The hotel was beautifully design and nicely maintained. The food and beverages were very good however can be improved by bring in some more healthy food as well and offer some more healthy smoothies and protein shakes. The members of staff are really friendly, polite and helpful and I believe it should be an option to add some tip at the time of check out to and tip account which all the members can receive it evenly. However if you are looking for a relaxing and winding down vacation maybe it is not a first choice of the resort but if you looking for buzzy and seeing crowds and people all around have lively evenings so you would love Sandals. Our favorite spot was Blum Cafe which serves you the best coffee on the planet and also the terrace the Rum Bar which serves you the best drinks and snack at the side of it. Hanami the sushi restaurant had also great menu.

This is a 2 part review 1st is how i felt about the property: If you love loud noise then the pool view is for you. I prefer quiet so i requested a change. I was given the mountain and gaden view on a higher level. That was perfect as the music in the lobby plays for hours and can be heard loudly inroom on lower levels. There are quite a few restaurants which were ok at best. The beach area is very small and lots of small stones in the beach. The pools are beautiful and the landscaping deserves a few awards. 2nd half is for the staff I had some trying times getting acclamated on my first night and the staff went above and beyond to assist with getting us adjusted. My most notable experience was the upper managements professionalism including Lenox ( mgt/dr guess services) and Rasheed ( mgt food n beverages) who both went above and beyond to make sure that our requirements were met on every level. They have a fun nightlife and overall the staff who i encountered were lovely.

All of the staff were outstanding, the restaurant food was amazing however the service was very slow. The only other thing is as an older adult who doesn’t use social media and apps the information was available but you had to work a little for it.

Extremely Disappointing Think Carefully Before Spending This Kind of Money As a frequent traveler who has experienced luxury properties in different destinations, I feel obligated to share our experience so others can make an informed decision before spending thousands of dollars on a Sandals vacation.We spent nearly $7,000 on this 3 night stay, and unfortunately, the overall experience was nowhere near the level of quality, service, comfort, or attention we expected for that price. I do want to specifically recognize our two butlers, Dejunee and Eshan, because they were absolutely wonderful. They worked tremendously hard, were attentive, kind, and genuinely made an effort to help us. Unfortunately, it was also obvious that they were extremely busy handling multiple guests, arrivals, requests, and responsibilities at the same time. Their individual effort was exceptional, but even their hard work could not compensate for the overall shortcomings of the resort. The room itself was a major disappointment. We had to contact maintenance three separate times because the air conditioning never worked properly. The toilet repeatedly failed to flush, to the point that we had to remove the tank cover ourselves to make it work. Housekeeping was extremely disappointing, and the view we received was largely obstructed by trees.And then there was the food, which was honestly horrendous. The choices were poor and limited, and much of what we tried simply did not taste good. For a resort

Most Sandals have been run into the ground, which is why Sandals must spend so much on advertising. Sandals Dunn’s River is an exception, but only because it is only three years old. Sandals hasn’t had the time to run Dunn’s into the ground, but return in 10 years, and it will fit with all of the Sandals. While a beautiful property, service is typical Sandals. It is very much hit or miss. Service recovery is a disaster at Sandals, but if everything is running, well, you are good to go. If you have the slightest of hiccups, management has no idea how to respond. Management is very good at trying to convince you that they are a luxury resort. The roof of the building could be caving in, but they will tell you that it is a luxurious. By spending more money on advertising than the competition combined, some people truly feel that Sandals is a luxury resort chain. However, unless you take advantage of their motorized water sports, including daily scuba diving, you are grossly overpaying for the slop that sandals currently delivers. The resort is also located right next to the RIU. Depending upon your room location, it may be overlooking the RIU. If so, it might make you ponder why you are paying three times as much to stay at a Sandals.
