"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

"We really enjoyed our 4 nights at Mill Spa. The location was brilliant for walking into Chester centre. The rooms were adequate albeit cosy. Everything we needed with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The breakfast was more than adequate and the dining room pleasant. The bar area, spa, swimming and gym facilities were excellent.
