"Hotel was situated just south of the town around 15-20 minute walk. Hotel has a lift and the leisure facilities were amazing. Swimming pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Breakfast options were great also"

"Lovely hotel with lots of original features. Rooms were spotless, good decorative standard and the beds are so comfortable. Air conditioning and heating you can control yourself. DH Lawrence stayed there once. Good location, free parking, near to shops, but not too close. They do the best bourbon Ive ever tasted and lots of different drinks like English vodka. Only thing Id rate less than 5 stars was the night porter who I just found a bit difficult, not that helpful and a little odd, but that is only my opinion!"

"Lovely little touches such as welcoming you by name through your cat numberplate and Prosecco and a tour of the hotel on arrival. Fabulous staff. Only negative was charging for the car park if you don’t book directly through the hotel."
