"Overall we liked it. Staff was great. Pools were clean and nice and not overcrowded even though it was during a spring break. Food is great the only problem is that the hotel rooms need an upgrade. Rooms outdated and furniture inside the rooms is old. Beach and water is nice but garbage from the beach needs to be cleaned regularly."

"Great resort for families. Beach was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Pool was perfect for my kids, with three different shallow areas where they could play. The resort yacht tour was amazing and easily a highlight of the stay. We did the morning snorkel to Honeymoon Beach and it felt like a private tour. Easily accessible to see wildlife in nearby places. "

"I never write reviews, but felt I had to for my stay at Wyndham Tamarindo. The staff is not properly trained to provide customer service in the hospitality industry. There is no gym on the premises, you will need to take a shuttle or walk to The Langosta Beach Club to use their gym. The water kept running out. We had to quickly take showers to ensure we did not run out of water. The TV only worked with 2 remotes. One remote was for the volume and the other to change the channels. They also ran out towels. We had to use pool towels. There were also bugs in the bed. I will say that the aesthetic of the hotel was nice, but the service was subpar. "

"This hotel clearly used to be a very nice place, but it just hasn't been maintained and the location is less than ideal. For the price we paid, it was a fine experience, but I likely wouldn't stay again. Because it is surrounded by highways it is impossible to explore the city or even walk to food nearby without taking a taxi (which, during peak traffic times, is a very slow process). We had two rooms and the AC didn't work particularly well in either room and both had strange smells (one like a dentists office, the other was rather unpleasant). In one of the rooms the bathroom door was extremely hard to open/close."
