"This hotel is brand new. Beautiful. Rooms were comfortable, and very cozy feeling. The grounds were beautiful. We never saw any staff. I called the number on the reservation, to enquire where to park our boat, they gave me a number for a different guy, I had to leave a message, and that person never called me back over 3 days. The walls are very thin. The hotel should not lump all the people together and keep using the same three rooms. There were only 3 cars there the entire time, yet we were all on top of each other. We were woken up at 6 am both days, just with people talking. I never had walls so thin in a hotel. That was the only drawback. If they would have left a room in between it would have been fine. I don't know if we would chance staying there again, just because of that."

"We had a great stay at Thayer lake cabin! It is so charming and cozy. It had plenty of space for relaxing and lounging both inside and outdoors. The cabin is close to public access points to Torch Lake and close to the cute shops in Alden. It is secluded yet close enough to attractions. Alden ball park beach access was great for taking a dip in the lake before we checked in and we enjoyed the nature area down the street as well. The weather didn’t cooperate for a lake day so we got pizza from Village Market and had a fun night in. Great stay!"
