"Perfect location for Royal Troon or Troon itself. Friendly staff that made you feel very welcome right from the start. Excellent food and drink options with flexibility to enjoy both menus in either dining setting: the more formal restaurant or the informal bar/ lounge. Quirky pool table in the bar with the tightest pockets ever. (Insert Scottish punchline here) The only reason I can’t give it a 5 out of 5 is due to the fact there was someone with a small dog along the hallway, that barked outside my door at 1am and 5am when the owners took it outside. This was on the first floor too. I’m a dog lover myself but would expect them to be kept either downstairs or in an annexe if one were available. Apart from that (which is just unfortunate) I’m glad we chose this hotel ready for our round the following day."
