"The staff and breakfast where both great, what let's this hotel down is the desperate need for major refurbishment. The rooms have new furniture and paint but beyond this it's very old and tired. The bathrooms where last done in the very early 90s by the look of them. The pool area was also extremely old with bits of tiles missing in the pool, closed of sauna, and very scruffy changing rooms. "

"Nice hotel, clean, excellent staff attentiveness, comfortable beds, serene quiet environment, lovely breakfasts, good restaurant, easy to get to places, not expensive, and plenty of parking. The wooden Four-poster bedroom is highly recommended."

"Excellent place to stay even if on business. Very clean and smart. Decent eating options as well. "

"The pool was warm but the hot tub was out of order today so not able to use which was very disappointing seeing as it wasn't working properly yesterday either and is a big part of the attraction of staying at Cave Castle. It was also not pointed out by the leisure centre staff when wishing to use the leisure facilities which it should have been. Poor service definitely"

"Front desk man very good. Breakfast ok. Evening meal quite good. Room 22 Churchill bit out dated, has an aircon unit for cooling however quite noisy and radiator for heat, so not really air-conditioning as advertised. Would i stay again, probably not. "

"The room was well equipped, nice and clean. Staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast, initially thought was a bit pricey but, was well worth it the the waitress that served us was very sweet. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone else."
