You can enjoy a tasting or tour at Burning Tree Cellars during your travels to Cottonwood. Stroll along the area's riverfront or simply enjoy its wineries.
We ate at The Tavern Grill. Dinner was great and portions are not small. In the afternoon we walked to the Merkle Winery that sits on a hill overlooking the town and Verde Valley. The views are fantastic. Allot of stairs. They do have a funicula.

Cottonwood is definitely a diamond in the rough. Enjoyed walking around on Main Street through all of the shops. Highly recommend Colt Grill for a bite to eat. Also while in Cottonwood my wife and I did the Verde Canyon railway. So much fun.

Staying in Cottonwood is a great alternative to expensive Sedona options. It is close to all the fun outdoor activities but away from the traffic and chaos of uptown Sedona. Additionally Cottonwood has a vibrant local neighborhood life!

Charming old town with a friendly atmosphere, great food and lovely shops. It's close enough to enjoy the beautiful vistas and hiking in Sedona (only 20 minutes) but without the crazy traffic and busy crowds of people.

We really enjoyed seeing the Tuzigoot National Monument site with its excavated and reconstructed indigenous village and the ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad!

Cottonwood is awesome. So close to so many activities and wineries, Sedona and the Verde River. It's a great little place to visit.

Our only suggestion is to improve the shopping boutiques. Some shops' inventory you could tell had been sitting there a long time and outdated. Some shops were either too "old lady'ish" or too expensive for the area. Dining options are fantastic!

We loved the Pillsbury Wine Tasting Room--walking distance from the hotel. Great wines and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We met lots of locals during our 3 visits w/meals. The location has a bar and multiple small inviting rooms!
"The rooms were clean and the property was well maintained. The beds were comfortable. An upgrade in towels would have made the rooms that much nicer in general.
Unfortunately, the hot tub wasn't much warmer than the actual pool and had a smell, so it's not been maintained properly.
The breakfast was good and had a good variety, which is always a nice surprise. The change from Saturday to Sunday's breakfast was also nice with adding the biscuit and gravy, but the biscuits were cold and there wasn't a way to warm them up. A microwave would be nice in there. Overall 4+"
"Right from check in the staff made us feel like family. Very friendly, helpful and genuinely appeared to love their jobs. Views of Sedona's beautiful red rocks are all around the property. Everything was so clean and kept in great shape. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. I would love to rate Arabella even higher. We will be back again."
