Very comfortable beds. Historic hotel - we really enjoyed learning about the building. Close to the train and metra. Walkable to museums and shopping. Breakfast was included, which is rare. There were plenty of options for food and plenty of seating. The bar is a part of the check-in area of the with plenty of drink choices. We appreciated the complimentary coffee and water. Easy check-in and out. Guests should be aware that this is a historic building, so great care has been made to update it but still keeping true to the building limitations.

Very comfortable , historic hotel with really helpful staff. Happy hour from 4-5 was a bit early but we coped. Nice bed and we liked the individual duvets on the comfy double bed. Very convenient position and the occasional slight train noise didn't bother us at all. (didn't need the earplugs provided)

All the staff we had dealings with were very friendly and helpful. Tea n coffee n fruit available in the lobby 24hr. Rooms were lovely and clean. The beds were very comfortable. Shower had good output, with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was lovely, with a choice of breads, cheese, meats, cereals, yoghurts, salad stuff, fresh n dried fruit. Drinks: tea, coffee, juices, water Hot food available: eggs scrambled or boiled, beans and sausages. We had an excellent stay.

This retro style hotel is very dated and looks tired , the staff were friendly, the hotel is very close to the rail station so noise from railway is frequently heard but ear plugs are provided.
