"The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. My daughter’s ankle was severely bruised when we arrived. She was immediately given a place to sit with a towel and bag of ice. The staff attended to her every need. We arrived before check in. No problem. The housekeeping staff was asked to prepare our suite as soon as possible. It took about 20 minutes and we were escorted to a beautiful suite where she continued take care of her ankle. It was first class service in so many ways. We were spoiled with every expectation being met. The hotel is centrally located to the Alt Stadt (Old Town). The twin dome Cathedral, the main railway center, restaurants, brand name boutique shops, lined the quaint streets. My favorite authentic German restaurant and pub is Früh also located within a short walking distance. "

"Clean room, nice decor. No kettle in the room (which is not uncommon in Germany I think), but late at night to first thing in the morning you can pick up a free coffee downstairs. The room with a view overlooking the railway did have some noise as they were carrying out engineering work overnight, but it didn't disturb us. A really nice hotel at a good price, in a excellent location."

"Everything about this hotel was excellent. Within walking distance of the train station and the Cologne Cathedral. Beautiful view of the cathedral from my window. Highly recommend!"

"Great location, easily walkable to a really great coffee shop and to the cathedral and train station, but without all the noise of those. Breakfast was good in the hotel too. "

"Big rooms. Clean and very quiet. Very central. Right beside the train station but safe. Very good value for money. Breakfast food and plenty of different types of food. The building is showing its age a bit but overall this is a very good place to stay and exceptionally good value for the price I paid. "

"Hotel is great! The staff was very nice. Breakfast is only croissant and apples but location was wonderful. Rooms are large. Beds are comfortable and very nice blankets and pillows. "

"Room was a little dated with cracks in bathroom here and there however, cannot fault the stay we had a room upgrade with a view of the cathedral, the use of mini bar free of charge was very nice and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely book here again on our return visit."
