The hotel is situated right behind the Cathedral and a short walk from the train station. Easy walking to the old town and area felt very safe. The room was comfortable, good shower, good bed and nice breakfast.

Very convenient to train station and Cathedral. Despite a large crowd in a nearby square to celebrate a soccer game, our room was quiet. Our room had a beautiful view of the Cathedral, which was stunning at night. Staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet had lots of options.

Great hotel

Great location, a few blocks away from the Cathedral and the train station. A lot of restaurants and bar near by. The room and bathroom were big enough and spotless clean. Staff was really friendly. We had a room with Cathedral view.

Well located hotel

The hotel is well located for the station and the Dom. The rooms are modern and clean. It was good quality for the price and gave good value. There is a safe in the room and separate recycling part in the bin.

I didn’t do my research on the hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was a 5 minute walk to the main train station. Food, bars and the shopping district were all a short 5-10 walk away. The staff was super friendly and helpful. And best of all was to room with a view of the cathedral, it was so beautiful. The hotel had everything I needed!

Great location and close to the Hauptbahnhof, so train travel is really easy both in and out. Close to the Alter Markt as well and great Dom views. Good staff and cleanliness and could not hear anything from outside, even during busy Christmas Market period.

My husband and I had booked an overnight stay at the City Class am Dom from October 13 to 14, 2025. When we arrived, we were told that the water might be turned off for about 30 minutes in the morning, but that it would probably not affect us. In the morning, however, there was no water at all—neither for showering nor for the toilet. We waited several hours for the water to be turned back on. We were told we could check out an hour later so that we could still take a shower. Around 11:40 a.m., the water finally came back, but it was brown and therefore unusable. We went to the reception and said that we had paid for the use of water but had not received any. We asked for at least a partial refund of our bill. We had paid €226.61. They apologized but told us they could not refund us anything.

I loved that the cathedral view from the window was so beautiful. It was a little noisy at night due to the drinking Christmas market across the street but it was also beautiful to see because of the decorations. This hotel is very close to many many shopping and restaurants.
