"I absolutely loved this property. It’s very small and quaint but the views of the volcano are amazing. I love the bathtub with the window looking at the volcano. The dirt road to drive there is a little sketchy being that I’m a woman by myself and did not have a four-wheel-drive, but I made it. There’s no food on the property, but there is a resort next-door that I walked to and it was great. "Had an absolutely wonderful time at Hotel Arsenal Lodge. I couldn’t get enough of all the pretty flowers all over the property and the room with the breathtaking views of the volcano! We were a family of 5 and the room was spacious and comfortable.
The property is family run and felt very welcoming from the moment I checked in. The owner was so kind to make a beautiful bouquet for my mom’s 70th birthday and arrival to the hotel. I really wanted a bouquet with local flowers and couldn’t really it online. I was so ecstatic when I saw the bouquet with tropical flowers. I’m still touched by this, thank you Mrs Terry. The property is a gem for nature lovers. 100% recommend.

"We had a great time staying in this location. The view of the volcano is so nice, and the yard is beautifully landscaped. Being so close to the highway, you can sometimes hear a bit of traffic, but it wasn't too bad. Having Soda La Palma next door was great! We ate there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We stayed all over Costa Rica during our 12 day trip, and one of the highlights was the chilera served with the empanadas. The garden behind the soda is beautiful and my daughter loved Balu the donkey and Chocolito the cow. The place is also very centrally located in town and made it very convenient to get places."
