"We stayed for 5 nights. I like the early check in to be able to use the amenities fro the whole day. It is an older resort, however it was really clean and the staff were absolutely lovely. The multiple pools were great, nice to be able to move around to different ones with different temperatures. I liked the location of the resort, easy access to all the activities. "

"Aloha,
We were greeted by Peggy at our check-in. We did arrive before check-in and Peggy was able to accommodate us. She was kind, helpful and accommodating. Our room, #17, had a perfect view of Mt. Arenal. The room had a comfortable bed and pillows with a mosquito net which we didn’t need during our stay.
The room was equipped with WiFi, a small refrigerator, AC, ceiling fan and a tv. The facility included hot mineral pools, a swimming pool and a yoga studio.
During our stay the AC stopped working. The staff, one being Peggy’s son, did everything possible but were unable to fix the system. Due to the inconvenience we were offered room #18 & Peggy treated us to an amazing dinner in the hotel restaurant. The restaurant is ran by Peggy’s son and it was one of our favorite meals in Costa Rica.
We booked our room to include breakfast. It was a traditional Costa Rican meal of beans and rice, plantains, scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, fresh fruit and coffee or tea.
Although it’s remote from downtown La Fortuna you can easily get an UBER for around $6 USD. We signed up for several tours and each tour picked us up with ease.
