"The property is in a great location and is a great size for larger groups and suited our multi generational family stay. The ground floor ensuite with own door was perfect for elder relatives and having 2x sets of house keys is helpful with a large group. Beds are comfortable and towels and linen fresh, although linen could be improved with correct fitting and supplying protective covers for all mattresses and pillows. Parking is very limited, with only residential street parking close. The facilities at the property are good. A great warm shower in the main bathroom, the bath not so appealing aesthetically, This property has been furnished with a vintage touch, so do not expect modern frills and technology other than heating, the property would benefit from providing a manual on how to operate the heating and extra lamps in the main lounge. If your in to TV, there is one in every room, The overall decor needs attention to detail, yes it is an older victorian building, however it is a competitive market out there and the property needs to be finished at a higher quality to finish previous repairs, maintenance to decor. There is a need for repairs to floorboards and bannisters as dangerous in places, this is not a result of it being an older building. I would stay here again and feel this property has great potential to do well for Future rentals.Beth and James have been very professional and communication throughout the booking has been really good."

"The house is about 15 minutes walk from the train station in a quiet area. It took a couple of goes to gain entry using the touchpad. The room was clean and a good size. Bed was comfortable, although quite high. There is a good cafe, Eat at Number 5, at the end of the street."

The host was very efficient with all of our communications and you should find some of her personal taste in the interior decorations very intriguing which our party certainly did! "Lovely spacious house, clean, warm and welcoming! Having stayed in many holiday homes, we all found Wellwood Lodge to be the best equipped for kitchenware and having the very best social spaces. We particularly loved the large square dining table and the huge lounge. We were lucky to be there during bluebell season as Corbar Woods is just a short walk from the house and the bluebell dis was magnificent! The host was very informative and accommodating. We had a most enjoyable and memorable stay."

"Before we arrived, Bethan & James messaged us with details of the flat and a local guide to the area which was really appreciated! Once we had arrived they also checked in on us to make sure everything was okay which made us feel really welcome. Communication was smooth and quick. The flat itself was beautifully decorated and felt really homely. There was basic amenities like tea, coffee, cling film, toiletries, ice which came in very handy! The location was walking distance to town, caverns and Pavilion Gardens. Would definitely recommend this flat and their lovely hosts to anybody wanting to explore the Peak District. "
