Anchor Hotel

Anchor Hotel

8/10 Good
"Staff very helpful and able to deal with all questions. Good breakfast made to order and very good dinner in hotel restaurant. Free parking is available all along the street; all local amenities are easily accessible on foot. The internal fabric of the hotel is rather tired and worn, and would benefit from some refurbishment; fixtures and fittings show some - largely cosmetic - wear and tear which might be better maintained. This would make it more aesthetically attractive."

Portavadie

Portavadie

8/10 Good
"We had a lovely stay at Portavadie for 2 nights in one of the cottages. The setting is fantastic, the pools are well maintained and warm and the gym is well equipped for a good workout. The only criticism would be that the cottages are quite dated and could do with a bit of a facelift to compliment the price tag."

10/10 Excellent
"Rooms were lovely and had maybe been upgraded, as this was my 4th time staying here and this was the best room yet. Breakfast was nice but would prefer some more veggie/ vegan friendly options. Same with the menu at the restaurant at night. Also noticed the price for dinner had went up for the restaurant but same everywhere. Staff nice and friendly. Views stunning as usual."

"Fabulous place to stay. Bedrooms very high standard. Breakfast pre ordered and delivered to your room at the requested time. You can change your choice each day but we kept it the same. Staff were very friendly and checked with us that everything was ok and did we need anything more. If we are this way again I will definitely book this again. Parking was easy as the main street has loads of parking."
