The Harbour Hotel

The Harbour Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"On arrival we were upgraded to a larger room which was lovely. Vicky showed us to our room and she was very friendly and gave some helpful advice about issues we had trying to get to the shopping centre. We really enjoyed our overnight stay which had been booked in conjunction with a trip on the Waverley. Our continental breakfast was really good although I would have loved a hard boiled egg! We would definately stay again because the hotel was very good value for money, clean, with friendly staff and in a great location."

"We had a lovely stay at Portavadie for 2 nights in one of the cottages. The setting is fantastic, the pools are well maintained and warm and the gym is well equipped for a good workout. The only criticism would be that the cottages are quite dated and could do with a bit of a facelift to compliment the price tag."

"Rooms were lovely and had maybe been upgraded, as this was my 4th time staying here and this was the best room yet. Breakfast was nice but would prefer some more veggie/ vegan friendly options. Same with the menu at the restaurant at night. Also noticed the price for dinner had went up for the restaurant but same everywhere. Staff nice and friendly. Views stunning as usual."

Bowfield Hotel and Spa

10/10 Excellent
"Staff were all lovely and also excited to greet our toddler. Lodges were incredibly cozy, worth booking less so in the summer as heating options were available but no cooling options if it's a particularly hot season. Hot tub was great to relax in after day trips out or if with children and dropping them off at the soft play facility (look to book a time slot in advance). Pool and gym facilities were well kept and had good options. A specific bit of praise to Helenann from the cafe for always being so cheerful in the mornings as well as being so excited to see our toddler every day."
