Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Carrascoy?
The best area to stay in Carrascoy is around the Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort, offering a blend of relaxation and activity.

This area is centred around a top golf course and features a collection of residential properties, including apartments and villas. It's designed as a self-contained community, providing a peaceful environment away from the bustle of larger towns. Facilities typically include communal swimming pools, tennis courts, and a clubhouse with a restaurant and bar.

Families often find this area particularly appealing. The spacious accommodation options, often with multiple bedrooms and living areas, provide comfort and privacy. Children can enjoy the swimming pools and open spaces, while parents can relax knowing amenities are close by. The resort environment means everything you need for a comfortable stay is usually on-site or a short drive away.

For couples seeking a relaxing break with opportunities for golf, the Hacienda Riquelme area is an excellent choice. The golf course provides a focal point for activity, and the surrounding countryside offers a tranquil setting for walks or simply unwinding.
When is the best time to go to Carrascoy?
The best time to go to Carrascoy is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.

These periods offer the most pleasant weather for exploring the region. Temperatures are comfortably warm, typically ranging from 18°C to 25°C, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, and sightseeing without the intense heat of summer. You'll find the natural landscapes, especially the Sierra de Carrascoy, at their most appealing, with lush greenery in spring and beautiful changing colours in autumn.

For those keen on outdoor adventures, spring is particularly good. The trails through the regional park are less crowded, and the flora is in full bloom, offering stunning views and excellent photographic opportunities. It's a great time for couples or solo travellers who enjoy active holidays and want to experience the natural beauty of the area.

Autumn also provides excellent conditions for exploring. The weather remains mild, and the grape harvest season in the nearby wine regions can offer additional experiences for those interested in local produce and culture.
