"I stayed at the Universal for 11 nights. My room was clean, the sheets and blankets as good as new, and attended to every day. It was quiet with no traffic noise and the occasional sounds from other rooms stopped at a reasonable hour. The staff were all friendly, helpful and simpatico. The hotel is in an excellent location about 8 minutes walk to the Cathedral the heart of historic Murcia. The Universal is completely unpretentious, great value for money and I will definitely return."

"We've just returned from a fabulous four night stay at the Hotel Cetina. We had a room with a balcony which we loved . My wife was delighted to find a set of hair straighteners in the bathroom. We sustained constant loud construction works, people yelling and shouting and banging doors noises during day and also during the night, including well past mid night and early morning. "Although the hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay, work didn’t start until 08;00 when we up and about so didn’t affect us or the communal areas. The pool looks lovely (we didn’t use it as it was a very short stop over) and we saw the attendant cleaning it. The entertainment was excellent, bar service, prices and excellent menu to suit all tastes and good portion sizes. Lots of options for breakfast with the best bacon barm I’ve ever had and super table service too. Then the bakery opened OMG it’s amazing and obviously very popular and we managed to bag some treats for our inward journey. When the improvements are complete I expect the hotel will be totally amazing and definitely worth a visit if In Algorfa. All the staff were really helpful and welcoming."
