"We loved the beach. Staying on the lower level right on the sand was the right choice for us. The beach is well used but not too crowded most days. The apartment is simple, clean, easy. Great location near the village center and walkable. Thanks!"

I asked that we be moved to a better location when we checked in but we were told that the resort was full, too bad so sad. I appreciated Cathy giving them a call but to no avail. Otherwise the Aviara is a knockout in stunning Carlsbad. I’m a bit nervous about booking in the future as I was told that owners will get priority locations. "I absolutely love this hotel and location but unfortunately the only one bad thing with our visit was timing because they had some construction happening early in the morning. Besides that construction, it’s the best affordable hotel. "

"Very nice condo off the beach. Kitchen amenities were great. The only downside was the few outdated things (loose sink faucet and shower head), thin walls, and the power outage due to construction. Otherwise, the room was spacious and felt like home."
