El Cid in Cancun

"The staff is absolutely awesome, the resort is showing its age. We had 5 nights in the 7th floor corner sweet. The Air conditioning was absolutely horrible temperature in the room would not go below 75 degrees. No inside activities on the property such as a game room. Just pools, beach, food and bars. The room had a poop smell and just wouldn’t recommend staying again. But the staff absolutely excellent "

"Stay was great but phone & ray ban meta glasses were stolen by a staff member and the customer service did little to nothing to help! Was told they would review tape because there are cameras everywhere but they never got back to me, and now a week later my phones location has since moved from property to mall in Cancun as I believe someone is trying to sell it!! Major disappointment!! This was my second time at this location.. don’t think I’ll be returning "

"Not so much for teenagers. Lots of families with young children. Hotel was super-clean, although we got back from a day out and the room was still not clean on a couple of occasions. Breakfast and lunch buffet were great. Hotel staff were friendly. However if you don't have younger kids, would not recommend. "

"We greatly enjoyed this property, and we’ve stayed at may all inclusives! The food here was especially good- loved the focus on QUALITY not quantity as some all inclusives tend to do (like big buffets of mediocre food). We gave an “average” rating for property condition because there were a few areas that needed maintenance like pool tiles and the roof you look out over from one of the restaurants. That being said, they were actively working on things like sanding/painting woodwork while we were there, etc so clearly they are constantly doing upkeep! This resort had hands-down some of the friendliest & most gracious staff! "
