Terrible communication and poor service
We arrived to our confirmed booking to find the hotel closed down earlier than expected with no notice from booking agent or hotel themselves, both of which had our contact details. We were left at dusk in a foreign country to find alternative accommodation, with limited help from staff, who couldn't even provide us with a 3km lift to our new found accommodation when 7 people standing around us watching all the commotion and many hotel labelled minivans available. They instead made us catch a cab when we just paid for one from one end of the isand to the other, expecting a nice bed to sleep in after 22 hours of travel to get to our desination. They blamed the booking agent entirely and did not take any responsibility for failing to contact us also when they clearly had contact email and numbers for us in booking details and were waiting at the counter for our arrival.

The exotic marigold hotel. Not really.
First impression. Friendly staff. Willing to help. The excellent front view of beaches of Boracay is amaxinf and 2nd floor room view if tbe ocean is pleasing. The crumbling firescape stairs blocked off were an eyesore. The hotel is not completed and partially finished areas are visible. Bedding needs to be replaced. Actually a full overhall would make the place a very enjoyable place ti stay. Not far from puka beach.

Picture on Internet are lies
Awful place. Pictures showing on Internet are not true. Moldy bathrooms, rusted out fire escape stairs, no spa,oily film on pools, filthy lounge chairs, no shuttles to beach have to take tricycle. Breakfast buffet tables have ants all over. Would never go there again.

Only ok for me
This hotel looks much better in picture than in person. It is a outed and far from "the action" so be prepared to spend money getting around. At nights there is poor light. The main pleasantry is the staff.

Saying that the room cost 3500 peso which I paid 2900 so I upgraded to the bigger room but then they chrages me more than I expected it suppost to be only 600 peso or 1200 peso for the upgraded two nights shuttle leave with out waiting if there is someone I got there on time on the waiting area

Great view.
In it's day, I am sure this was a great hotel. Now, it is in a state of disrepair and miss management. Half the menu items are not available, the pool side bar was never open. Although the staff did the best they could with what they had, it always fell short. To top it off, we wanted a late departure due to a late flight out and was flatly denied stating that the hotel is booked full and they needed the room. The fact was the hotel was maybe half full. I would never go back to this hotel.

Misleading Advertising
The place was not as expected. The annex Building where we were supposed to be accommodated was not yet fully constructed. The staff were all so courteous and helpful. Facilities not well maintained. Linens were not washed. Fortunately we were transferred to the main building where our room was upgraded. It had a nice view of the island and with it's own indoor pool.

Don't trust any good reviews!
In fairness to this Hotel, the room is big with your own not so clean swimming pool, staff are great, shuttle service good,free breakfast is a bonus, hotel location has one of the best view of boracay, But too far from all the activities in the island.All in all it was the best family get away,

Overrated--stay elsewhere
Highly dissapointed---pictures do not represent actual physical appearance of hotel. Staff was not helpful. Internet was choppy. Private pool was a nice touch but it wasn't heated, nor the regular pool. Don't count on the breakfast... The food was at least a few days old and reheated multiple times. Toilet and shower in the same stall making toilet super wet after each bath. Positive- free shuttle every hour to dmall and back since its further from the beach.

Nice hotel, great pool and rooms.
Very nice hotel and staff. We had a lovely stay thanks. It is a shame about the ongoing renovation but that is life. Would be much better if they tidied up the ugly scaffold and pool bar area. Also hope they plan to include some shade around the main pool when it is finished. Be careful booking through expedia as i have had problems with them changing conditions after booking.

Boracay Nightmare
Please, avoid this hotel. We booked a room with breakfast for 3 nights. Upon checkin we were told breakfast wouldn't be included despite our booking confirmation stating 'Free Breakfast'. We were charged for breakfast upon checkout and had to argue daily to get them to rectify their error. We witnessed several other check out arguments while waiting for the shuttle, with the hotel attempting to charge extra fees for rooms which were prepaid. The free welcome drink coupon was nice, until you find out it is for orange juice only. The breakfast buffet had no western options but pancakes and had ants crawling around the utensils and on/in the syrup. Toilet paper is only provided upon request so you may want to request it at checkin. They make you sign a document on checkin that they will charge you for any marks on the towels or sheets, and you are limited to one towel per day, which you have to queue up in the morning to be issued and sign for it. The hourly shuttle to D'Mall is the only saviour of the hotel, your only escape. Be sure to queue early though as you'll be competing with staff finishing their shift and locals who know the driver for a seat.

It's a nice hotel perfect staff but bad wifi and bad location ( all the activities & Resturants are at station 2 and the hotel at station 3) with all that being said the hotel charges 350 PHP per person to get you to the d'mall which you can get from public transportion for 25 PHP per person ,finally the hotel doesn't have a beach within the walking distance "this review because I saw another hotel same price turns all the negatives at grand vista to positive "

Overall it was good, the swimming pools and garden were good and well maintained. The food did leave something to be desired as the menu was very limited for a good quality hotel. This must also be the only place in the world that charges you for ice !! Madness !! Rooms were reasonably well cleaned but the complimentary water provided was a little sporadic and one had to keep asking for water. It is a 10 minute minibus ride to the beach but there is a shuttle that runs every hour free of charge

Nice location and great staff
Great views, rooms and staff. The staff was polite, friendly and very helpful. We had breakfast every morning at the hotel and the buffet was superb and fresh.

We did not even stay
My husband and I had our honeymoon out in Boracay and was looking forward to the quiet serene atmosphere that the hotel had to offer. The pictures shown of the hotel on the hotel sites are not accurate. The honeymoon suite we we were booked into overlooked the hills and the neighbors hung laundry. The hotel was under renovation and well was Not exactly beautiful. The room was simply not up to date... The door peep hole lens were broken and therefore could not see the other side. The safe in the room was not mounted nor properly locked. The private pool was filled with bugs and did not look appealing at all! The bathroom layout- the shower was a standup shower (looked new) but the toilet was in the same area as the shower and if you are showering you have to walk through the shower before getting to the toilet. Overall the room was not very romantic or inviting. I ended up booking another hotel the same night as I did not feel safe nor comfortable one bit. I cried going down to the next hotel as I felt so disappointed on our first night of our honeymoon! The most positive thing about the hotel would be the staff. Each person was very nice and professional and did not charge us for the ride down to the next hotel. The hotel had potential but do not get tricked by the beautiful pictures posted on these booking sites!

Misleading photos and advertisement.
The hotel is very far from the beach, you must take a shuttle bus back and forth. The whole construction is falling apart. There were ants in my room and it smelled like mildew. I got bed mites bites on my body. Shower and toilet in the same room so you have to walk through a pool of water to use a toilet due to poor drainage. Wifi only works in the lobby. I had to ask the staff to remove a spider, fix entrance door and mop the heavy pool of water. They were quick to respond and help but it doesn't make up for the terrible conditions. The hotel has much to be desired. I would gave been better of staying in a hostel.

Just Ok
The hotel was nice but at least my room was in need of a major renovation. Everything including the tv remote needs to be updated. The bed, the shower, the toilet, and private pool all need to be upgraded to the something modern. I'm sure this was a beautiful room in 1984, but unfortunately this is 2014.

Nice hotel bit far away
This hotel looks very grand but is rather old and therefore not in supreme condition. There is an individual spa pool in the rooms but we didn't use it. The location is not convenient but there is a shuttle taking you down to main areas hourly. Tricycle can be called and will cost around PHP100. Getting back at night is easy by tricycle but goes through some dark roads. Not too convenient for party people. Good for people who want a relaxing holiday with good views in the hotel.

Not worth it.
Thank God we only booked this hotel for a night. When we got there, the security personnel didn't think tht we were going to check in. The facade was awesome but the room needs upkeep. The in room pool had no heating so it was a cold pool. The showers needed sometime before the water heated. The bed was horrible. It did have good views and the pool was nice but needed some heating.

Grand Vista is an apt name for an amazing location, view, and room.
The rooms are amazing. Most or all have private pools by the balcony looking over the ocean. It's quiet and very pretty. The service is outstanding. The location is about 15 minutes from all the action which is really quite nice. The dinner food is not great, however, it has a fine breakfast buffet. I would certainly stay here again. Loved it.

Great Location Amazing View
Worth the price! great staff, super friendly and helpful. Amazing view of the beach, hotel is high up on the mountains. Great facilities, initial room had leak from private pool/jacuzzi on the room balcony overall was good room was happy with it, was upgraded to 4th floor room was twice as big, separate bath and toilet beautiful balcony pool/jacuzzi well worth it. Amazing views of the beach, took tons of great pics! restaurant is separate from hotel, but very convenient just few feet away from main entrance, pool is super nice, and cabana area is very cool. was very happy with the overall hotel.

자유여행으로 선착장에서 200페소에 도착 디몰에서 언덕으로 올라가야함 시간별로 호텔 전용 버스있어서 디몰 나가는것에는문제가 없지만 짐이 많을경우는 다소불편할 수있음 개인풀의 물은 이용하기 찝찝함 ㅣ층 풀은 수영할 수있음 조식은 보통 전경이 훌륭하며 조용함 직원친절하나 엘레베이터 없음 물 잘나오고 수압좋음

사진이랑 너무 달라요
rio vista에 올라온 사진과 너무 다른 방을 배정받았습니다. 욕실 선반은 부서졌고, 샤워커튼 하나없이 샤워기만 달랑 달려있어 욕실에 사방으로 물이 튀고 배수도 잘 안되어 화장실바닥에 물이 흥건한 상태로 3일 내내 있었습니다. 또한 무슨 호텔방에 화장품을 놓아둘 탁자 하나, 거울 하나가 없나요?? 너무 좁아터진 객실에 여자 2명 잠만자다 나온듯하네요. 수영장 수질 또한 형편없었습니다. 룸 청소후 왜 새 생수는 안주시는거죠? 보통 최소 하루 2병의 무료 생수는 제공하지 않나요? 조식 역시 먹을것이라곤 빵과 샐러드가 다였네요. 이가격이면 디몰 3-4성급 호텔에서 묶는게 훨씬 좋은 룸컨디션과 서비스를 받았을꺼 같습니다. 차마 더이상 단점을 나열할 수 없을 정도로 너무 별로네요. 모텔도 이곳보단 낫겠다 싶었습니다. 보라카이를 다시 방문한다면 절대 그랜드 비스타에 방문하지 않을것입니다. 다만 프론트 직원과 식당의 직원들의 친절함만이 이 호텔의 장점인거 같네요

海辺を希望しなく、静かに過ごしたい人向け
丘の上から島を眺めるローケイションでdモールまでは車で１０分かかる。ビーチの近くを希望しない人にはむいています。宿泊者の多くは韓国人です。プールもいいです。部屋によっては、日本の露天風呂のような小さなプールが部屋についている部屋もある。朝食もついているが、良くもなく悪くもなくという程度。

広くて静か、でもホワイトビーチには遠い
まずホテル自体は、決して新しくはありませんが広くて部屋にプールもあり、スタッフさんもフレンドリーで悪い印象ではありません。 決してラグジュアリーではないですが、ほどほどの値段でゆったり過ごすにはいいのでは。 ホテルのプールもまあまあ綺麗にしてます。 客層はヨーロッパ系と韓国の方が多く、日本人は私達以外いなかったかも。日本語は通じません。 たぶんハングルは片言ならなんとなく通じるみたい。 あとシャワーの出は悪いです。 海外のシャワー事情になれていればそれほど気にならない程度ですが。 多分1番の問題はビーチから遠いことだと思いますが、1時間に1回ホテルからバスの送迎が出ていますし、排気ガスはすごいですがトライシクルを使える方ならまあ不便はないかと。 ホテルのフロントの方に頼むとトライシクルつかまえてくれます。 プカビーチにもトライシクルで行けます。 これは超オススメ！ のんびりできます！

호텔스닷컴 정말 실망입니다
호텔스닷컴 홈페이지에 나온 객실 사진 대비하여 엄청 좁았고요 형편없었습니다. 또한 욕실 샤워부스는 곰팡이로 더러워져있었고요 따듯한물도 나오지 않았습니다. 호텔스닷컴 콜센터로 통해 2번이상 컴플레인 요청 , 그리고 프론트를 통해서 요청했음에도 불구하고 개선되지 않았네요. 타국에서 호텔스닷컴 콜센터 전화만 길게하고 아주 짜증스런 여행이되었습니다.

좋은호텔 맛있는음식 감동서비스~
기대를 안했는데 생각보다 너무 좋았습니다~ 객실도 업글되어서 더 넓은 곳에서 지내다 왔네요 사진과 모든곳이 동일하고 스테이션과 떨어져 있어서 아늑하고 조용한 분위기도 좋았습니다 조식도 메뉴는 적었지만 맛있게 먹었습니다 마지막날엔 아침비행기라 새벽에 체크아웃했는데 가기전에 조식을 도시락으로 챙겨주셔서 너무 감동했습니다~ 조식을 도시락으로 받은적 처음이었어요!! 주변사람들에게 꼭 추천하고 싶습니다!!

뷰가 좋은 리조트 ^^
중심지와 자동차로 15분정도 떨어져 있어서 그런지 리조트에서 바라보는 뷰는 정말 아름답고 좋았습니다. 근데 조식도 가지수가 너무나 적었고, 사진에서 보는 객실시설보다는 좀 아쉬웠습니다.

El tipo de habitación reservada, Río vista (habitación 30 metros cuadrados, piscina privada y sofá cama) no coincidía con la que nos ofrecieron en el hotel; la habitación era pequeña, sin piscina ni sofá. Nos dijeron que la habitación Río vista no tenía ninguna de esas características. Por otro lado, en el hotel nos hicieron firmar que si las toallas o sábanas eran manchadas con maquillaje o de otro modo, se penalizaría, cuando las toallas que nos ofrecieron estaban muy viejas y en mal estado y las cortinas sucias.

일단 블로그에서 보여진 전체적뷰와 스케일을 보고 6박을 결정하였다 중심가(디몰)에서 대략 15분정도 더 들어가야 하지만 음침한 곳이 아니라 걱정할 필요는없다 리조트 입구에 경비들이 24시간 철저히 인원을 체크하기에 안전하다 리조트는 크게 신관과 구관으로 나뉘고 수영장은 메인풀과 자쿠지보다 조금 더 큰 어린이풀이 2개 있다 늦은 시간에 체크인을 함에도 직원들은 미소로 반기며 사소한 것까지 정확히 일러주며 친절한 모습이었다 여행이 끝나 후기를 남기는 시점에도 직원의 친절함은 나를 미소짓게 하며 모든 직원들이 대단히 친절했다 생각된다 하지만 리조트 객실은 큰 문제가 있다 생각된다 일단 투자가 되지 않는다는 점이 크게 느껴진다 객실에 있는 에어컨은 AS가 되지 않아 작동되는게 신기할 정도이며 화장실은 문이 고장나 뜯어 둔건지 아니면 아예 애초에 없는건지 문이 존재하지 않는다 아니 정확히 얘기하면 틀은 존재하는걸로 봐서 문이 떨어진듯 하다 그리고 매일 깨끗하게 청소가 되기는 하지만 이불커버등이 7일간 교체되지 않은듯 하다 아무래도 습도가 높은 곳이기에 쾌적함을 느끼기에 중요한 부분이 될 수 있는데 신경을 많이 못 쓴 부분인듯... 가장 불만족 스러운 부분은 메인풀장이다 이번 여행까지 5번째인 보라카이 방문이지만 그랜드비스타의 수영장이 가장 큰 사이즈의 수영장이 아닌가 싶다 하지만 그만큼 실망도 큰 수영장이다 규모가 커서 그런지 수질관리에 어려움이 있겠지만 더 신경써야 할텐데 그렇지 못한듯... 물속은 앞이 잘 보이지 않을 정도로 뿌옇고 부유물이 엄청나게 떠 다닌다 자주 물위의 부유물을 건져내는 모습은 보이지만 나뭇잎이나 풀 등의 부유물이 아니라 신관을 더 증축하며 보이지 않게 하겠다고 막아둔 커버들이 잘게 부셔져서 수영장에 떠다니고 가라 앉아있다 휴양지를 다니는 가장 큰 이유는 물놀이가 될 듯 한데 그런부분에서 가장 취약하지 않나 싶다 특히 아이를 데리고 여행하는 분들이 많을텐데 감점요인이다 그리고 객실에 자쿠지가 있는데 물이 교체가 됐을까 싶어 발도 한번 담그지 않았다 관리가 되지 않은다면 분명 더 마이너스요인으로 작용 할 것이다 단 리조트에서 보이는 뷰는 실로 장관을 연출한다 그리고 필리핀이다 보니 디몰과 멀어 왔다갔다 치안이 걱정되었으나 이 글을 읽으며 같은 생각을 가지는 분이 있다면 그런 걱정은 접어 두어도 될 듯하다 나도 굉장히 걱정되었으나 최소 한시간에 한번씩 셔틀이 운행되어 편리하고 오전 식사시간이나 저녁 식사 시간에는 30분 간격으로 10시까지 셔틀이 운행되어 걱정 할 필요가 없다 우리 가족은 따로 트라이씨클을 타고 다닌적도 많으며 그런 걱정은 기우에 지나지 않았다 보라카이에서는 걱정 안하셔도 될 듯... 3박의 패키지 패턴이 아닌 두배나 많은 6박을 하다보니 더 많은 단점이 보였을수도...

만족하는여행이었습니다^^
전체적으로만족합니다 직원들서비스도매우좋았으며 화이트비치가아니라오히려조용하고좋았고 디몰가는버스도자주있어서불편한게없었네요 여자친구도아주만족했습니다^^

가격대비 굉장히 좋은듯
Privite Pool 이 관리가 아쉬워서 이용 못했던점, 화장실 시설이 조금 저에겐 불편한 점, 빼고는 매우 좋았습니다. 사실 가격이 저렴하니까, 비교해봤을 때 매우 좋은듯.

그냥 편안함. 안락한 힐링을 위한곳~!! 눈이 가는곳마다 그림이 되는곳. 셔틀이 있어 시내나가는것도 불편함이 없음. 에어컨 빵빵

즐거운 여행~
좋은 호텔을 선택하게되서 개인적으로 매우 흐믓했음. 좋은시설은 당연하다치고 직원들의 친절함과 셔틀버스이용은 거리상 불편과 피로를 최소화 시켜주었고 전망 또한 우리를 황홀하게 해주었음. 다만 기대하지 않았지만 조식은 그냥저냥 먹을만했음. 엘베이터 있음 금상첨화라고나 할까?
