"Excellent location for the Cathedral. Room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was generous size. Lovely walk-in shower, pity water pressure wasn't a little higher but was adequate and hot. Breakfast was good, plenty of options including cooked, meats and cheeses, fruit and pastries. The staff were really friendly and helpful and a particular shout out for Trevor!"

"Grade 1 listed building/hotel with a historic past close to the cathedral gate house with amazing grill restaurant with some South African dishes Lovely happy staff nothing is to much trouble for them. Executive room was large most comfortable bed ,sofa bed , gorgeous fireplace ,furniture,wood panelling great detail,all amenities you’d need inc iron and iron board,plenty tea and coffee with a pod machine. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if visiting Salisbury and Stonehenge."

"The rooms were spotless, the staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the pub behind the lodge. (The Indian restaurant staff was very friendly as well, but it was Valentine's Day and we had not made a reservation, so we went to the pub.) We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there! Then we returned to the lodge for a good night's sleep. We were warm and comfortable. "
