"Interesting self check-in and door controls via app. Great for the tech savvy, but I can imagine some older folks might need some help. Our cozy room was compact but sufficiently spacious for 2 adults with a little creative arrangement of 2 large luggages. Only thing that it didn't have was a fridge in the room. There was a fridge in the common area that I think can be used though. We love that the place was modern, clean, centrally located and even had a free game room, coffee and fruits."

"Excellent hotel. Really clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Perfectly positioned quite close to the train station (you can’t hear it!) and to the centre and old town, everywhere is walkable. If we go back to Bern we will definitely use this hotel again"

"Our stay at the Bären was fantastic. The staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating. The Hotel and room is very clean. We were able to do early check in and our room had a little fridge and microwave, which was fantastic because we travelled with a toddler. They also put in a little bridge between the two single beds so we could all sleep in the big bed, no baby bed needed. The location is so close to all public transit and endless restaurants and shopping opportunities. It's very close to the parliament building. There is a public market on Saturday and Sunday everything is closed (shops, grocery stores) but restaurants/coffees are open. Overall a great location, quiet (if you get the courtyard rooms) and a very pleasant stay."

"The staff here was very friendly and helpful to answer any questions. Reception was open at all times. The room was very clean with nice furnishings. It wasn’t a big room but we found it adequate. Location was excellent as it was close to a metro station and easy walk to old town. Would recommend."
