Forest Pines Spa & Golf Resort

Forest Pines Spa & Golf Resort

10/10 Excellent
"The rooms were extremely clean, apart from a couple of webs I noticed in the corners of one wall. No big deal for me personally, as I just brushed them off with some tissue. Extremely comfortable beds and pillows, felt like I haven't slept like that in years. I am fairly sensitive to dust and allergies, but my breathing was so at ease, this proves to me that the rooms were clean. The staff were uber friendly and helpful. Very attentive to your needs despite being busy with others. I asked for a high chair for my 7 month old daughter, within a couple of minutes, it was there. The gentleman at breakfast who was waiting on Monday 10th August 2026 (sorry didn't catch his name), even asked the last remaining people whether they wanted anything else, including fruit for the kids. Plenty of parking though, one section of the car park was so tight when full that I had to manoeuvre a few times to get the car out but no big deal. I only had stayed for one night, however, I am already considering an excuse to visit again for a bit longer so I can maybe try out some golfing while the wife visits the spa. Thanks again to all the team at Forest Pines."

Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel

8/10 Good
"The room was basic and appeared to have been made up in a hurry - wastebin liner not fitted to allow waste to be deposited and no teaspoons. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. There was evidence of repair work in the bathroom where different tiles had been poorly fitted - but it was clean and functional. The pizza served at dinner was as good as you would get anywhere in mainland Italy - obviously fresh and piping hot. Breakfast was excellent, a very good selection to serve all tastes, hot food hot and a good selection. Friendly and attentive staff, although a call to reception went unanswered for some while during a busy check-in period. The current drought conditions didn't show off the gardens to their full potential and paved walkways had quite a number of loose slabs."
