"Very sweet girl efficiently checked us in. Our room had a sliding door and faced the fjord. The view from there was AMAZING! They also have a very nice (and large) lawn area with tables and chairs. The weather was nice, so we sat outside with a drink from their bar and just soaked up the view of the fjord and the mountains. Good breakfast buffet, also. This is the only place you should stay in Sogndal. "

"Hotel was very friendly and clean. Breakfast was very good as well. No lift. On our last night there was an issue with the electricity in our room but it was handled very well by the staff, we were given another room on the same floor immediately while they looked into the issue."

"Overall a good place to stay. Clean room, easy to find, free parking, great view from common areas & breakfast sunroom. The property is a little older but it's well kept. Some updates like a tv or a mini fridge in the room would have made our stay just a little more comfortable. Even just an ice machine accessible to guests would be great. The breakfast was good. Great cheeses, breads, jams and coffee options although the smoked salmon was a let down as it was much too thick."

"The folks at this place bent over backward to make our stay comfortable. We arrived just minutes before the kitchen closed and they very happily told us to get ourselves settled and to come down when we were ready. At no point did I feel like they resented our lateness. They then served the most amazing salmon dinner I’ve ever had. The bed and room were comfortable. The location was convenient. I definitely recommend this place! "

"We loved staying here. The view is unreal and the house offers quite a bit of space. Traveling with two toddlers it was exactly what we needed. We had a small hiccup with check-in, but the locals are so friendly and helped us out. Our host was super accommodating and even drove us to the grocery store last minute on Saturday so we could do some shopping since they would be closed on Sunday. He also offered to shuttle us to and from Flam for a small fee which is a life saver with the lack of transportation options if you’re not renting a car. Can’t say enough good things. "
