Pros -Great location, beds very comfortable in a good size room. Staff were very polite and helpful!
Cons - shower and toilet room was outside the bedroom in the main corridor with a separate door key.
This isn’t the place if you’re looking for a canal view like on social media, but it’s in a great walkable location. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the bar downstairs is awesome!
Convenient location and super helpful staff. Room was modest but clean, private bathroom was a plus. Bar staff downstairs also very friendly. You have to leave your key at the front desk whenever you leave the property but there is always someone there when you return.
Fantastic location in the red light District if that’s what you’re looking for
If not, look elsewhere
A very busy area, but centrally located to many different attractions
We booked the quad room
And it was fine for us
Book this if you want an authentic experience
If you’re looking for something bougie
Look elsewhere
One last thing about the staff, they couldn’t have been more polite !!

This was a great simple room. I was expecting the hotel to be noisy being in the heart of the Red Light district and yet I had a calm peaceful night's sleep after a fun night out. The shower and bed were great. The staff were courteous and helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Amsterdam.
The room was huge! Great view of the canal and red district. The staff was great!!! They are so kind! My booking came with complimentary wine, which was also good. Walkable location. Due to the location, there will be lots of noise until late night. Didn't bother me personally. The bar downstairs is charming.
Amazing staff! So kind and accommodating. Let us check in early without charge and let us keep our luggage there. The place was nice and spacious. Would definitely go back and recommend to others!
Loved staying here. I felt very safe but was in the middle of everything. The bar downstairs was great and we loved sitting outside people watching while enjoying a drink. The staff was very nice and I loved that they had to buzz us in at night.
The property is very close to a large number of bars, restaurants, museums, and, of course, the red light district. Everything in the room worked well but unfortunately this property is very old and we were on the third floor and there is no available elevator. The only big detractor from this property, and it's not their fault at all, is that you are immersed on a very busy street with lots of bars, and as mentioned, the red light district. Which makes for boisterous late night noise and goings on until as late as for or later in the morning. Also, as a result, in the mornings the streets are strewn with trash and other debris. The staff was awesome and having the small bar in the ground floor of the property was hey welcome amenity.

The room was clean the staff very helpful. Just remember you are checking into an extremely old hotel that was not originally designed as a hotel. Expect lots of stairs, funny shaped rooms and unhandy lighting and outlets. Just relax and enjoy the fun, excitement and convenience of being located in the middle of old Amsterdam.
This is a historic property, not a luxury hotel. But that’s part of what makes it so great. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Great location for walking around town.

The part i disliked the most it got old pretty fast, first time i experienced that i had to give my keys at the reception everytime i went out it was abit of an annoyance. Shower curtain should have been replaced and the toilet seat was abit wobbly other than that cant complain cuz it was one of the cheapest i could find and yeah no elevator to bring your luggage up or down. Since it was in the location it was i thaught it was gonna be very loud and impossible to sleep but turns out it aint too bad was worse with how thin the walls were between rooms i could hear the couple in the next room as they were in mine. The positives very near central station and a metro so made exploring very easy, and a grocery store like a few min away on foot, there is a bar downstairs that is always people in but i dont drink so not for me but could be a plus for those that does.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed with our children as it could accommodate 4 in one room. Our room was quiet for being in such a busy area. With kids, good to be aware that this is the red light district. We generally stayed in after about 6 pm, so worked well for us.

The staff is friendly. The room is large. But there is no private bathroom. Outside the window is a boisterous street.
Bang in the middle of the red light District but it felt very safe and staff were friendly and helpful. The stairs to the third floor are narrow and the walls are thin, I could hear someone snoring in the room next door. You can also hear voices from the bar downstairs

Central with perks. If that’s what you want
If you’re looking for somewhere right in the middle of “things” then this is perfect. I wasn’t, but my room was 4 floors up so well away from street noise. Accom was very basic, shared bathroom and shower was adequate. Reception was the bar underneath with very friendly staff. For one night it did what I needed it to do. It was cheap.
