I have stayed here several times and always look forward to coming back. The rooms are very nice, the food is good, the staff is pleasant. The restaurant next door is excellent Thai food. The location is great, within striking distance of London.

We originally had a room where the heater didn't work and the staff quickly moved us to a new room. On reflection this was a good thing anyway as the initial room was in a cold area of the hotel and the room did not have any type of secondary/double-glazing.
The breakfast was part of the price and was also very generous.
I've given a 4 for the condition and upkeep of the hotel because the initial room we were offered would have been in a very cold area of the hotel but the rest of the hotel looked ok. We were staying in December so this would have made quite a difference had we not had a reason to change room.
(For reference we were first offered room 16 and I think 15 was next door. We stayed in 23.)

"Stop using the chain hotels, this is a great place"
The location is down a long lane and is a converted farm house and stables. It is about 7 miles from central Milton Keynes. It is like a mini hotel rather than a house with bedroom. I only had a one night stay but I was greated by a very friendly but businness like owner. The room was very clean and comfortable with added touches of water, biscuits, hot chocolate provided. The breakfast is help yourself to cooked items or cereals etc. and was very nice. The eggs were lovely. There was plenty of plug space. A lovely patio area overlooking the countryside - great for a relaxing evening.
I needed a hotel as a place to sleep, arrived late, and left after breakfast - and the Swan did the job, with minimum fuss. I paid in advance, breakfast was left in a small fridge in the room and when I left I had to leave the key in the door.
I had read somewhere about someone finding a bedbug under a pillow so lifted the pillow - and sure enough there was a bug, which I removed.
The room was cold, which was OK for me, but there was no way to completely close the window and the radiator was off so there would have been no way make it warmer. Basic breakfast was left in the room - cereal and a croissant with butter, jam, cheese and ham, also a yoghurt. Fresh milk to make tea was a plus! Instruction booklets provided for kettle and toaster although there was no toaster. Fridge was noisy so I turned it off overnight but I could hear the one in the next room through the wall.
Stayed for two nights whilst visiting the area including Bletchley Park. Food and service were first class as was the accommodation. Wine was served beautifully chilled. There was no pressure to eat quickly and move out, table was ours for the evening. Would highly recommend for either a short break or celebrating a special occasion. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome.
