"Top Notch Hotel"
This hotel stay is hands down the BEST I've ever experienced. The staff, the room, the amenities, the choices of restaurants within the hotel, the food. One of my biggest complaints in other hotels has been the issue of noise. In this case, I never heard my neighbors on either side. The nights in bed were so peaceful. There is nothing that they didn't think of. I couldn't have expected more. The location of the hotel is also perfect. Near the beach and all of the shopping and restaurants. Luxury at its finest. I won't stay anywhere else when I return to Waikiki.

"Great place to relax for a few days."
Right in the heart of Waikiki but unless you want to search out the lively beach scene, you would not know it was there. Tranquility surrounds for a very relaxing stay.

"Relaxing week with a friend."
We are 2 friends who stayed from Tuesday to Sunday. We were attending a friend's wedding at the Kahala. We spent some time poolside, but more time at the beach. Hotel is at marina, not directly on Waikiki beach, but short walk to the beach. The main beach area is about 15 min walk. Starbucks is at nearby Hilton village and good acai bowls and juice place there. Also walked a couple blocks to cafe down the street Hiker's cafe for healthy lunch/dinner options at reasonable price. It was nice to also have a trendy lounge and club downstairs so we didn't have to go far to have a drink. I recommend running (or walking) at park down the street across from Ala Moana mall. For an hour, did a couple laps. Fitness center is decent size but quite busy. There is water and green apples. Towels of course. Iced face towels. Main pool is kind of small and there were surprisingly a lot of kids. One day all the chairs were already taken by 11 am. The adult pool is really a shallow wading pool/fountain but is quieter. If you sit poolside, they bring your free snacks- lychee sorbet, pineapple slices. There is also self serve ice water with fruit in it. Good frozen drinks. Didn't try the food but it looked good. Nice shower and bathroom. I liked the bath products- made in Pasadena, CA. My room did not have a balcony, but seemed like half of them do. Ocean and building views. Staff is really friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check out at 1 pm on our last day.

"9-days in the Pink Palace"
Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Royal Hawaiian. It's location is perfect, the rooms are a great size, I shared a double with a friend and we were really comfortable. The pool is small but who cares when you have Waikiki Beach right there. If just grab towels and spend the day on the beach sitting in the sand and enjoying the surf. It's location is a perfect stone throw away from everything and to experience the North Shore I did a bicycle tour with Peddal Hawaii which I highly recommend. All in all I loved it and recommend it. I'll definitely be back

Pocket Guide: Waikiki, Oahu Island Luxury Hotels

Waikiki established its reputation as a getaway when the Moana Surfrider opened its doors in 1901. Today, more than 30,000 hotel rooms are packed in the skyscrapers along the golden sands of Waikiki Beach. At the end of Waikiki, Diamond Head towers as an enduring landmark. West of Waikiki, Pearl Harbor offers a somber testament to history and the victims of World War II.
