"The property is set in a very quiet and peaceful location with beautiful gardens. The owner clearly spends time and effort on the grounds however, we were disappointed by the lack of privacy in our room, it being directly adjacent to the breakfast room with all the accompanying intrusive noise.We were warned the previous evening by the proprietor that this was likely altho we did not realise it would be quite so loud. "We loved our stay at Kuku Cottage. We were super impressed with the well equipped kitchen, we loved walking to the beach and the cafes. It was the perfect spot for our foxie and a base to explore the Hawkes Bay. The beds were super comfy and we loved the cosy fire."

"Cosy, comfortable, and clean!!!! This rental is well maintained in a quiet location directly across from the bay. We brought our dog and the proximity to walking paths worked well. As well, the property had a fenced off area that allowed our small dog to roam around without fear of him leaving the property. Hosts were friendly but kept their distance which allowed us to feel at ease. Really enjoyed the stay. Thanks."
