Bed and Breakfast in Tassin-la-Demi-Lune

"I enjoyed my stay at Felix d’ort. It is an adorable b&b close-ish to the main gare in Lyon. I was able to walk to and from the station with a heavy rolling bag. The room was clean and had its own bathroom. I slept 14 hours so I think that says something about how quiet/safe it felt to me since I was traveling alone. It got a bit chilly at night but I just added on some layers and slept fine. Highly recommend if you prefer a b&b experience to a hotel! "

"It was ok for a night, the bed and the shower were clean but if you need more than a night and more than shower and a clean bed I wouldn't recommend it."

"The hotel is tucked behind secure gates without a big hoarding telling you where it is. It only has a few rooms and we very much liked the exclusivity of it. The room was clean and comfortable without being showy. The bed certainly enabled 2 very weary travellers to sleep well . Breakfast was wholesome and help yourself. The owners on hand for everything, even seeing us off when we were ready to leave. "

"Armand (owner) was very helpful, even though I was only there for a very short time. He allowed me a flexible check in and was very friendly. He brought breakfast to my room in the morning. I didn't really explore the area but I know Lyon fairly well. It was a 20 minute walk to Part-Dieu Station but of course you could get a direct bus or tram easily. A taxi cost me £13 from Part Dieu to the property. It is exactly as described."

"We had a lovely stay at the property. We loved the history and beauty of the historic house and grounds. Our room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The breakfasts included classic French breads, juice, homemade yogurt, jams and coffee. The pool was fantastic. Our hosts made us feel welcome and at home. "

"Gave us the top floor, climbing that spiral stairs was a work out! Besides that location was good, close to port, transportation and restaurant. Public parking expensive if you have car. I would stay here again, but only if I get a first floor room."
