If you want a property with character this is it! We stayed in the Cinema Room & it was quirky. A round bed (very comfy) with antique furniture, projector & screen. Very clean (but an old bathroom with high top bath that you step in to shower) & lovely friendly host. Breakfast was very nice, great pastries, coffee, cereal, yoghurt, cheese & cold meats. Location is about 15 minute flat walk from station (with luggage). Near an underground station to get to Old Town. It was an enjoyable stay
Friendly staff, homey rooms, easy walk/transit from train and access to all of Lyon. Very accommodating. Great little supermarkets close by. Not many restaurants. It was the perfect stay for my 24 hour solo train adventure!
The staffs are very accommodating, especially the manager. The breakfast is good . The only thing that I need is the coffee creamer and unfortunately, they don't have
Cute little gem. Very well maintained. Great location with easy access to the metro. Definitely would want to stay again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Very friendly owner of hotel. However our bathroom has no shower curtain and water was all over bathroom floor when taking a shower. Good breakfast. Great location but lots of street construction by hotel. Good value for the money.
Great stay in Lyon as a group of friends on tour for the Rugby World Cup. The host and all of the staff were very helpful and friendly . Definitely not a corporate hotel but somewhere quirky that’s a refreshing change from most hotels . Great location and parking made it just perfect for us . Thanks
I enjoyed my stay at Felix d’ort. It is an adorable b&b close-ish to the main gare in Lyon. I was able to walk to and from the station with a heavy rolling bag.
The room was clean and had its own bathroom. I slept 14 hours so I think that says something about how quiet/safe it felt to me since I was traveling alone. It got a bit chilly at night but I just added on some layers and slept fine.
Highly recommend if you prefer a b&b experience to a hotel!
Very cute well maintained place, centrally located to the TGV train station, little far to walk to the center. Manager was very welcoming and nice. Walls are a little thin but a little knock at the wall fixed the noise from next door.

Loved the room. Quirky and cool. Breakfast was lovely. Only note is to be sure the location works for you. We found it to be a little out of the way and wished we had stayed a little closer to some of the activities we had planned, but that was our bad not the property’s!
I stayed at Felix d’Ort in Lyon for two nights.
The location is definitely one of its strong points. It’s about a 15–20 minute walk from the main train station and very close to several supermarkets. There are also a few cafés and restaurants nearby, and you can reach the Garibaldi metro station in around 8 minutes, which makes getting around the city quite easy.
The room, however, was disappointing. It’s located on the ground floor of what seems to be an old building converted into a bed and breakfast. While I understand that there was an intense heatwave during my stay, the solution provided was far from ideal. I was given a small, very old portable air conditioner that was extremely noisy. I barely slept for two nights because of the constant loud humming.
When I asked if it was possible to get a quieter unit, I was told there were no alternatives available, as the newer and more powerful devices were already in use in other rooms. That was quite frustrating, especially given the conditions.
Breakfast was also underwhelming. I was told to expect a “French buffet,” but in reality it consisted of bread with chocolate spread, a jar of yogurt, some cheese, a baguette, and a couple of slices of ham, plus American coffee from a thermos. It didn’t really match the expectation set by the description.
One detail that surprised me was being asked for tips (with percentage suggestions) when paying the city tax, which felt unusual in this context.
Just simply not a good place to stay. Where to start?
The room: Rickety junk furniture; the tiny table so unstable that putting a glass on it was risky. Rough toilet paper. No control of heat available. Bathroom sink in such a narrow space that I literally could not get my shoulders in it to wash my face. No closet at all. I could go on and on.
Staff was nowhere to be found, even during their supposed welcoming hours; owner was on holiday and we discovered that a woman who was a hired employee was there but had never come to us nor even greeted us when we saw her.. she was busy with her friends! And it turned out she was Ukrainian and didn't speak either English or hardly any French!
Location is poor: A residential neighborhood with virtually no decent restaurants around it.
Merci
