It is a beautiful hotel and enjoyed Ajay at the desk and all of the doormen and guards, who were most attentive and protective. It certainly is not the hotel's fault that immediately outside (on the way to the metro station) is a shantytown of refugees from the flooding on the river. When you add the smell of the raw sewage in the river to the difficulty dodging traffic, negotiating the walk on uneven ground, etc., you readily see why no one (except us) is entering the Hilton "compound" except by taxi or tour bus. There are some shops open inside the hotel, but we would warn anyone that the upstairs one on the far left (re the lobby) has some serious arithmetic problems. Buyer beware here, just the same as with any bazaar dealer.

"Very good location. I will go there again if I get"
Spoke to the Owner and he arranged a day trip for site seeing and the vehicle given was also a very good car.
Other staff also very good.
Nothing more to say all of them were very good and I can recommend this hotel to a family, couple or business traveller or tourist.
The staff at Shervani were very nice to me. I like their concierge service; they will arrange any Taxi needs, and setup tours around Delhi and India. The staff also gave great advice of what to do in Delhi. They will also arrange a shuttle for you on your arrival.
The food was pretty good too. I ordered some items off of the dinner menu. The food was of high quality and had good proportions. The breakfast buffet is pretty good too.
As for location, you are in a very posh area of Delhi behind a gated community. A few blocks down the road is a pastry bakery, a host of shops, a few parks, an upscale restaurant, and a Zoo.

Were glad to see that the location was near the Hazrat Nizammudin station and was very near the main city. Near all the places we wanted to see... India Gate, Jantar Mantar, Janpath etc. Not too far from Qutb Minar either.
But, as we checked into the room, noticed the heat in the room and were frustrated by the time the AC started showing it's presence. Took a good 40 minutes to even begin feeling cool! :-(( A big point to consider if it's not winter! Not to mention the plaster ripping off from the celing.... not exactly the view you would want when you hit the bed!
The bathroom had a glass partitition for less than half the length of the bath tub only, so the water from the shower was all over the bathroom floor in no time! Disappointing!
Ordered a fresh lime soda from the restaurant. Waiter brought it uncovered, and to our dismay, there was a little insect floating in it! So much for a drink! :-(
Thought we would settle down anyways and in no time discovered a lizard in the room. Thankfully housekeeping came & took it away... but.... after this could I ever think of coming back here? Nahhh... don't think so!
Visited the restaurant next morning for the continental breakfast buffet that was promised! Sandwiches were good.. Aloo paratha ok. No idly/dosa .... no fruit juice??!!!!
Set me thinking............ are sandwiches & aloo paratha what we call 'continental' ??!!!
Rooms were excellent. Almost 5 star standard. Food was great. Really peaceful and neatly kept. The best thing is the interiors of the hotel. Very well planned and has everything offered to make your stay comfortable.
This is the first time I stayed at JP Hotels. Had been to Auto Expo. The place is ideal for getting around either to Noida or Delhi. Less crowded and service is excellent.
The architect of this hotel has gone to very detailed planning.
Best hotel in India. Rooms are half way through being refurbished and the older ones are a little tired but still very clean and comfortable. Food is fantastic and very fresh. Service and staff are the best of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Location is convenient for tourist sites (which are a little spread out anyway in Delhi). Thoroughly recommend it.
