"Good location with private parking which is the main reason I chose this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice pub linked to the hotel. The room was clean and a good size... The only two downsides of the room was the sink and shower which could do with an upgrade. Otherwise I cannot complain about my overall stay. "

"The building is tired , stair carpet threadbare. A shame as it’s a beautiful building. Needs TLC. We found the staff ok but inexperienced, they need more training. Our room was clean and comfortable. Gardens stunning. At breakfast there was a lot of people without food as they said they had run out. "

"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

"Really enjoyed our little overnighter here. Absolutely stunning building. Nice size room with high ceiling in gorgeous Tudor style. Bed comfy nice bedding. Read some bad reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Yes the carpet is a little old and the chair by the window but it’s all part of the charm. Large modern bathroom. Only negative was a little dust on the windowsills nothing to ruin a lovely comfy night sleep and lovely staff at check in too"

"While the manor house is picturesque and beautiful with the charm you would expect, the pictures are deceiving. This property is situated immediately adjacent to a main thoroughfare. Additionally the rooms are not in the manor house. The rooms are set apart in different building which are much more similar to a traditional hotel and are of quality equal to a Hampton Inn. "
