"What a find! This beautiful hall is just perfect. Fabulous location with peacocks and lovely trails to walk in the extensive grounds. Our room had a super king bed and usual facilities. There is a spacious dining room and well stocked bar. You won't go away hungry as the food is excellent with generous portions. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's a must visit! "

"A friend and I stayed here as we are walking the Pilgrims Way. A fantastic find. Friendly staff, really nice and cosy rooms, quiet at night. Had dinner in the bar, lovely food and great service. As other reviews say, breakfast was a bit slow, possibly the kitchen not the service staff as they seemed on the ball. Breakfast was v tasty anyway when we did get it. Overall definitely recommend "

"Had a lovely time in the cottage it was well equipped and felt like home from home. The extra room for washing/drying etc was brilliant and didn't have a problem with the walk in shower although small it was functional. my only critic but on a personal level was the beds seemed very soft. When we arrived we were not aware that the local pub was closed for refurbishment which was a shame as we wished to walk around the village rather than having to drive at night. "The staff , chef and management were excellent. The food was amazing, the bed super comfy, the setting quiet. It is run by a Mauritian family and they were super charming and really understood the importance of good hospitality. "

"Amazing stay perfect for a chilled relaxing holiday. Central to most of where we wanted to go. It’s literally in middle of moors with only horses, deers and cows around. Fantastic staff and lovely breakfast. Room clean - wi fi iffy but tbh it was a welcome break from technology and meant we chilled a lot more x"
