"The outdoor bar Gin and Juice was a tropical paradise with fun cocktails and a lovely garden setting. The Japanese restaurant was also excellent. Staff were very friendly and our room was large and beautifully appointed. We'll plan a trip to Cheltenham just to stay in the hotel again!"

"Stayed here overnight after visiting family in Derby , check in and out easy, friendly reception staff. Very clean accomodation , tea, coffee etc, bath with overhead shower, good thick towels the room was quiet cheap overnight at £43 pub/restaurant on site for breakfast and meals, mcdonalds 2 mins walk away. Good very clean comfortable good stay. "

"My partner and I stayed for the weekend. We had dinner in the pub on Friday which was so nice. The room was spacious and I loved the decor. It was clean and very comfortable. Lovely selection of teas and coffees and even biscuits and a chocolate. Good Wi-Fi reception. Good water pressure in the shower. Everything was perfect. We’ll definitely stay again. "

"My one night stay was a good experience. The staff were very friendly. My room was very spacious with a huge bed. Breakfast was good. My only complaint is that the bath is super slippery when having a shower. I know there is a grab handle but I almost dare not let go of it. I put the bath mat in the bath in the end which solved the problem. I usually take my own shower mat with me but forgot on this occasion, I will remember it next time. Other than that one point my stay was very comfortable....

"the staff on the phone was most unhelpful when I asked where we were supposed to park as the hotel is on the road...we had to drive round 3 times with no directions until we happened upon an unobvious carpark......the staff were slow to greet us, only when I greeted them first ( as in hello on arrival and good morning at breakfast)...such a pity ...but the waited at dinner was brilliant (surname Morgan) funny and kind...."

I’m a lovely location by the river but only a short walk to the city centre and the races. Would definitely stay again."
