"Stayed in cabin 3, and despite reading some recent negative reviews, we were very happy with the room. It was clean, well stocked and the view over the lake in the morning was amazing. Breakfast was very nice and had lots of variety. Our only small gripe was the beds weren’t particularly comfortable. Mattresses are subjective and we were only there 1 night. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay there again. It’s also only 25 minutes from Cardiff centre. "

"Beautiful house in a lovely location. Very hospitable hosts who welcomed us into their kitchen for a pot of tea on arrival. They gave us lots of information about the area and good places to eat. Spotlessly clean room with lovely toiletries. Good quality tea and coffee and Welsh Cakes. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and of the best quality. We will definitely stay here again. "

"Had a lovely 2 night stay in the Barn. The owners and staff have been very helpful and accommodating. Close proximity to Margam Park with stunning walks and cycle paths. A shop and places to eat also close by. Would highly recommend"

"I have stayed here twice before. The welcome from Lyndon is great. The breakfast is freshly cooked and plenty of it. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom was clean. However the wardrobe was in need of repair and the fridge had old food in it. The bedside cabinets had a layer of dust but I base my review on comfort and hospitality "

"Bright, clean and spacious room. Located right off the highway but in a lovely green space hidden away. The room was big with a large ensuite. It is a little dated but perfectly kept and clean and absolutely everything you could need - even an iron. Slept really well which is what you need when travelling. I would definitely stay here again. "

"Great place to stay right in the heart of Crickhowell. Apartment had everything one could need including quality toiletries, breakfast and towels. Parked in the local school car park for free on the weekend (4min walk). Will definitely be back."

"Host, Julie, was lovely. Accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Town centre is a 10 to 15 minute walk but be aware, it is downhill all the way and so is a climb on the way back. Would happily stay again. "

"First the bad bits-its past history as an hostel clearly shows, especially when you notice staff only inhabit the property, thrice daily before leaving, causing mess to linger for upto six hours. As a matter of fact, the owners are only seen during breakfast for a short period, which can be frustrating if something goes wrong, like it did with me and you have no way of contacting them; There should be, in my experience of traveling, somebody knowledgeable enough on hand, for those like me, who...

"Excellent value, full breakfast, helpful staff. Homely with lots of character, but don't expect modern. Uneven floors so take care if have mobility issues. Quiet area. "

"We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Old Post House. Exceptional accommodation, a beautiful large room with comfy beds, tea, coffee, biscuits and water provided. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and very friendly hosts. The property is in a lovely village spot on the outskirts of Cardiff and we would have liked to stay longer to explore more. Would definitely stay here again when in the area!!"

"The apartment itself was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable, with little to no outside noise to disrupt sleep. Reception isn’t open on weekends but there was great communication from staff giving me information of how to access anything I needed. It’s a walkable distance into the town centre, Castle and Cardiff Central station, therefore offering places nearby to get any food, shopping etc. "
